You're responding too quickly to information, you don't give them enough time to mess up or ask follow up questions to verify it.
That's kind of a mistake imo.
I fake town slips as scum and town and mistakenly scum slip as both scum and town.
Acting ignorant or trying to undermine someone's understanding is their focus. That kind of thing is exactly the kind of behavior I would expect Scum to do.
On the otherhand this game is long so I think it could be column A.
