Thanks for modding Lilith, game was a blast. As far as balance goes, I haven’t really looked too hard, but I suspect it was fairly townsided. More importantly, though, it was fun. If a game is sufficiently fun, it doesn’t need to be perfectly balanced.

I might give some advice on general approaches to balancing a game later though. Just remember to take anything I say with salt, as I don’t mod nearly as much as I used to and I’m fairly rusty.

i know my attempts werent as good as they could have been but thats because i didnt have time to spend making a spreadsheet what I did end up setting up at the end was autowin and we didnt even need mechs when 2 of the scum were extremely obvious(lavar and abr)

Some comments on the game:

This was the first game I've ever designed. Like the game it's based on, I think it's very swingy, but the intent was to create a mafia game that was fun/new/cool, and I hope that I achieved that. I apologize if the game didn't feel balanced or felt unfair in design, that was not my intent. Unfortunately I think with a setup like this, with so many variables, true balance may not really be achievable.

I'm definitely open to

constructive

criticism - I'd like to run more of these at some point in the future, and I am woefully inexperienced at setup balance. Some of the things that happened in this game I also didn't foresee, like people being confirmable on whether or not they had destroyed a lab, and that (among other things I didn't foresee) probably led to the game being more townsided than I had intended. Feedback is much appreciated.

Mafia being able to kill every night is an extremely important mechanic that allows them to keep pace with town figuring out conftown.

u replaced out right as u learned that u were conf scum from my ability lol that was grimy and dont ever play with me again because you wasted all of our time. u coulda just stayed in the game and took the elim but instead u make us wait

When town mislynches 3 times in a row and you have 0% chance to win because of mechanics its upsetting.

I 100% did not expect my slot would die day 4. I thought town would lynch lamar and I'd have to suffer through several more weeks.

I also didn't believe Dkkoba's claim but that's a balance issue. I found it way too powerful to have a role that exposes everyone attacking them. If all 3 scum attack him and he survives (which he most likely will because scum is weak af) the game is over. Which is so weird to me from a setup perspective.

We crunched numbers and it was like 16% chance of lethal if all 3 of us hit lmao. It was so pathetic. Scum couldn't kill anyone or even close to it.

I was worried about Pine for giving himself +1 knowledge on N0 and at lamar for just announcing in the thread that he has a sword. Me for attacking dk in a suicide attack (but his personality just annoys me so I didn't want to play with him, the fact he was conftown justified my reason for trying to kill him with 12 dice in a kamikaze attack that didn't kill him. He got lucky.). Scum made mechanical mistakes but they weren't fatal mistakes. The day play was poor. Iksf and I did what we could to play a terrible hand.
