I wrote a big post on who is which role by apparent behavior but it gets into wifom circles. My wife wants help digging up bushes. Maybe later.

Pedit: There are apparently 3 roles. What if two of them are 3p? If eliminator gets target eliminated, both leave the game and eliminator wins as 3p. If eliminator gets eliminated then target may either win or may have to survive to endgame. The 3rd role could be either town or scum but I'd tend to assume town lacking other evidence. I can't evaluate whether this is more or less likely than a town / 3p / scum split other than to know that The Baker and Boonskiies tend to think similar in terms of setups, and Boon has done the paired 3p roles before.

I don't necessarily believe that it HAS to mean town/scum/indie. As far as we know right now, 2 of us have claimed town, and know the other two are not are alignment. I could be town with two 3p, or town with 2 scum.

At this moment my vote is still where I believe my strongest SR to be, regardless of mechanics or speculation.

Immaterial. If it's this combination of roles, the eliminator / target both want to avoid revealing their flavor while prompting the other to reveal. The town will want to know who the flavors are but town tend to just be patient and watch for it because outing the big brain part will send the other two into hiding. There is no specific urgency for the town of the triad.

That would be the Eliminator, because we are guaranteed they leave after they get their target eliminated.

And if I had to guess then rude should be the TARGET, because he was the one openly hunting for the other(s) relatively too early in that situation. I mean, the Eliminator is the hunter that is supposed to be more patient and the "hunted" is the one that gets nervous. Then again I am talking about how I would feel and not necessarily how others do.

In terms of "reads" I already said I TR's both slots, but rude a bit more, and with my TOP TR (NPOM) siding by rude I think I would vote Grendel if it came down to that.

HOWEVER, I think NPOM may have a point is waiting for more info. I thus am not officially taking sides yet, but I am leaning Grendel here.

If there is another Periphery guitarist in this game, and once everyone has posted since the dualing claims, and the third guitarist doesn't claim...aren't we probably guaranteed not to hit scum here?

Obviously there is an 'if' factor here, but I couldn't see a scenario where scum claims Periphery here unless there is something kooky about the specific roles. Again, this is only an issue if in fact there is a third guitarist.
