I mean, I'm really not a readslist person. There are a couple reasons for that. First, I'll fully reevaluate any read based on evidence I trust. I try to have a flexible mind and be open about things...which is maybe something scum exploit I guess. The second reason I don't like to readslist is because I don't like doing it in my scum game. That's maybe not great for town all the time, but I do play to win regardless of alignment.

Yeah. I'm a suspicious and paranoid person. I think my biggest fear in any game is that I'm getting duped by my town reads. I don't really care if I take heat for that. I try to look for people whose reads I align with or that I feel like have a transparency to their posting. Either of those things could be wrong on my part, but that's how I try to find my town reads. I have to question myself constantly though about whether I'm reading a person right and not just getting tricked.

The reason I think Mark is town is that he is just posting ALOT the seems to be genuine searching to me. I don't really agree with his push on koba, but he isn't overreacting there either. He didn't flip out in a weird way when he was "caught" by a night action. Even his questioning of me about geraintm vs. NM seems genuinely trying to figure out thought process rather than working backward from a conclusion.

If I had to shoot three players right now and hope I hit scum, it'd probably be {taylor, NM, andres} perhaps. I'm not entirely convinced on any of those. I think I've explained why I find you scummy. I started thinking about NM more and really feel like he's just ignoring even when I do try to interact with him, so that is weird. Andres is basically just a gut shot and PoE. I fully admit I could be getting fooled by one of {koba, DGB} here, but they wouldn't be my first picks to eliminate.

If I took a broader view of a scum pool, I'd probably tier people together as decisions I have to make. I don't think I'd want to yeet FL, Mark or koba unless I see some evidence via night actions. Of the remaining people, I think it's very likely there is at least one scum in {infinity, taylor}, which would leave possibly two scum in {andres, DGB, NM, A50, Jackson}. Those aren't bad odds in my opinion.

ok. if you assume im town, where do you think i should be looking? because im pretty confident in saying infinity, mark, A50, JV, and andres are all town. that leaves a pretty small PoE. i could easily be wrong about one townread, but i doubt im wrong about more than one. my early scumread of infinity does have me a little paranoid about that slot but i think since then infinity is playing the way id expect town!infinity to play.

Hey A50, I'd love to hear your thoughts more indepth on infinity and Taylor. Where do you stand on them and why? Your second post in the game, you said there was absolutely scum within {infinity, taylor, VP} because we were first to post in the game.

Anyhow, I'm not going to butt heads with you about whether I think you're acting in good faith now after I pointed out you were not. I'll keep answering questions, but don't expect me to easily be won over through engagement alone because that's super easy to fake as scum, especially if you've been called on it. If you are town here, that will be evident over time. However, if you're town, I think your reads suck.

i think thats a bit unfair. my poe is {FL, koba, vpb, NM, dgb}. people seem to think we should townpass koba. ok. but that leaves four people. thats a pretty narrow PoE. even assuming NM is mafia im still not sure that all three scum are in my PoE. if NM is town im pretty sure theres at least one scum outside that PoE.

But she's pretty clearly sorting/(pretending to sort) you rather than trying to get a townread. She's not addressing your points on her play, she's being proactive and questioning you. Yes she could be trying to appear "reasonable", but I feel like she's really giving you the opportunity to undercut her push if she's scum and you're town.

to me A50 was just obvtown. its gut/tone/whatever. its been shaken a bit recently since A50 seems a bit more lurky and coasty.
