He also has a habit of tunneling town and being way too sure about wrong reads. But honestly that was not the behavior I was trying to curb initially, I just threw that on as an “oh yeah this is also not good”.

I haven't felt apathy induced! But I mean yeah, fast games by their nature are going to do that and most people will feel it from time to time. Having bad reads and confirmation bias sometimes isn't a reason to eliminate someone, and this seems really personal to you.

I'm trying to say something here but I'm tired and having trouble wording. I think you should ignore things to do with him right now and let the game sort itself out where that's concerned. Seems like you two will kinda bring the fire at each other and get kinda triggered, which is fine for an early game thing but the more it happens it can cause apathy in the game.

I didn't like Cakez entrance into the game. I didn't like his early to mid timeframe reactions to pressure. I didn't like what he picked at when reacting to some of Cabd's post. for example, the one where Cabd lamented not getting his elim choice over the dethy's in the smoke filled game. I get where you're coming from with regard to the speed and disrespect and I agree. However I'm very concerned that if we let this wagon fade too far it won't be rebuildable.

I think you owe it to Cabd to talk about why he's so strongly thinks Cakez is scum.

The last time I had to deal with BM posting to this magnitude was MBoS 10 where I hard latched onto the policy limming hyperposters thing, and I think that probably was the biggest nail in my coffin besides pushing the third hidden mason (also BM) as scum while also dealing with one of the Masons hard pushing me (aka not a good survival tactic)
And I think I’m chill about things now but I’m still going to have a bitterness towards BM, and I definitely mean what I said about the blacklist. And I’m notoriously soft about maintaining my blacklist so to say I mean it means I MEAN IT.
But yeah I realized subconsciously probably, and later consciously definitely, that continuing to make the same push for a policy lim was probably gonna land me in the same position I did before, so I dialed it down. In the other game though I pretty much felt trapped to the point where pushing a policy lim felt like my only option. Here I didn’t panic and found ways to develop through the game that didn’t involve sticking to a fatal strategy. That’s probably the biggest towntell I’ve had, because I tend to panic a lot more as scum, which used to exhibit exclusively as me lurking through pressure but these days mostly shows as me trying to push a random and stupid angle that is meant to project towny stubbornness.

When Cabd expresses suspicion in whatever form he so chooses (I'm really rooting for the option that's not a casewall because this is not the game for those), I'll make reading and getting back to him on it a real priority.

My worry is that I see a lot of myself in Cabd right now. I've also had a lot of good Day 1 scumreads, but I've also murdered countless townies due to hubris and I've caused some emotional anguish in people that I could have avoided and still won the game and normally the big fuck ups come after a couple of big successes.

I struggle seeing genuine in Cakez's posts a vast majority of the time but here I can see that he has some lines that are being crossed - not necessarily alignment indicative - but I think it's important that we give him some space as a result of that - I don't think the slam dunk treatment is necessary to get him lynched, especially on a Day 1.

I take back my thought about 'let's end the day', I think that was largely selfish and that I will have to adjust to the thread accordingly. I think what matters in these large games is not going back and re-reading all this nonsense, but just taking in small pockets of conversation that can build trust between two, three, four etc. people.

That being said, my trust is pretty low right now. I think it's odd (not discouraged) to give out townreads, because I see a lot of them but not really many people sorting out who's scummy. The thing is if the game goes on like this is that you'll have people within others activity and it will mostly become circles within circles of arguments and that's just impossible to fully cover until more people die. Right now, I am still most interested in Brian Skies. Maybe a little Flavor Leaf. Maybe it's my doubting paranoia as town but I find scum doesn't really wanna talk about other scum if they have to. Am I saying that makes Brian Skies/Flavor Leaf scum because of it? No, but I am saying that I would like to have others talk to me about if they think

Actually, that is scum.

They are actively chiseling out reads left and right, and it's helping support positions and momentum. It's all posts that are like...way too safe too. There's no "real" reason for them to be scum, but they haven't done anything they couldn't easily come across as town as scum with.
