alright, so we're two days away from deadline. we have a new slot that hasn't caught up yet, and it's obvious to me that we don't have the numbers for a majority anywhere. there are simply too many townies with differing viewpoints of the game.

we seem to be of a reasonable consensus that the right way forward is to execute in {SS, peta, infinity, mena}

but since we haven't been able to come to any meaningful consensus within that pool (and it's only two days until deadline), we really need to start compromising so we can get an execution most of us are at least OK with.

i'd like everyone to rank order SS, peta, infinity, mena from most preferable to least. include who you'd be happy eliminating, and who are absolute deal breakers. then, maybe we can move forward.

for me, i've come back around to viewing the game through the lens of mena & infinity both being town, so ideally i'd like to elim between SS & peta.

i still believe the cop/redirector is higher in the list, so i prefer SS. but i would be willing to compromise on peta, as that slot also gives more info about dave. so:

i don't really have a high confidence in my ability to vote correctly in ELO. When I end up there as town, the outcome is typically a loss.

if i had to guess, instincts are scum don't have good reason to bus here and he's being set up as an unhappy compromise? unless the team were something like exactly dave/smart/bird at which point it's maybe plausible distancing but that's maybe like the only real possibility where i see him as scum. more likely to be town based on those reads, willing to eat shit for this

I view this as a 99% vs a 33% and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out where the best odds are.

however, this logic doesn't make sense. we eliminated the PGO/1-shot vig slot on D1, and the other vig (if town didn't choose vengeful) isn't active until N3. so scum wouldn't have been scared of either vig on N1.

actually, now that i think about it, scum wouldn't have been scared of any roles N1 really, as they blocked cop,

doc/RB didn't exist from their informed information, and the vigs weren't a threat. if there was ever any N1 to deviate from the status-quo move of shooting for PR's high in the draft (and instead shooting a strong player), it would be in this specific set of circumstances: where PR's are a low threat.

you could also argue that given the UB slot was out of scum's control and we eliminated a PGO D1, scum may have been fearing a high draft pick arming themselves with a PGO shot. shooting mena (who was one slot below DGB) is a plausible NK choice as he's a strong player guaranteed not to be PGO.

^could explain why scum NK that low in the draft N1.

it's a totally different scenario anyway -- even if I were scum here, in that game there was no ~vague mechanical evidence~ suggesting I was scum for people to hide behind, and so I was really under no threat even with your town flip and you loudly calling me scum as I pushed you

even on the final day I wasn't really ever at that much threat of being flipped myself, and it was mostly trying to make sure we won then and there because I had *risk* associative with dogwatch and alimdia

I have deep misgivings because if S&M are town then actually I think it does strongly implicate infinity, but at this point in the game there's no actual way of knowing that without ending the game if wrong (i.e. I assume if I'd got my S&M elim today, I would definitely be elimmed in lylo and we'd lose)

I think probably if I go down today then Dave is the best flip tomorrow? and then probably you're gonna have to take a gamble but I'd say peta + BB seems like it could well make up the set, but honestly who knows. I'd prob do BB next after Dave because that would spew N_M town, I think

then in lylo it's prob between peta and S&M

if we do peta and he's scum today, I still think Dave is the best flip tomorrow, and then maybe S&M the day after that because we'll still have a misguillo in hand -- if S&M flips town, then I think I'm most likely wrong rn and have been pocketed by infinity somewhere along the line (although it could still be S_S lmao)
