I normally treat skitter as locktown on D1 to (1) facilitate a healthy gamestate (2) to get that s y n e r g y going (3) because I don’t generally consider myself good enough to carch her D1 if she’s scum and is trying to fool me and (4) i find that by trying to collaborate with her I normally get a better sense of whether she’s trying to manipulate me or that gamestate, hence actually helping me read her more effectively

- that was like a really quick catchup post, and i just jotted down my impressions as i had them.
- I wasnt really planning or thinking of immediately pushing you, or like acting on it (in fact i'm p sure i said that i *didnt* want to go down that route just then at least once). In my mind, i wasnt really escalating by going from 'maybe scum' to 'probably scum', and to me, saying something like that in that sort of format is more an invitation to start a dialogue with you than anything else
- i was not trying to piss u off, sorry. I also got a little pissed off, and when i realized that may have been fueling my response i realized i should probably take a step back (and that it may have been fueling your response, sorry)

I always figured she would tell me to stop if it bothered her. Bork is just that I didn't get TvT vibes really from their thing with prism and prism comparatively seems townier.

okay, it felt like they were more serious than just impressions I guess (?) but maybe I was misreading that esp. given what you said about it not being a progression exactly, and I read it last night very much as setting up for an attack on me even if you weren't, doing it at the moment exactly? I think the fact that it was primarily comments on me and not questions made me feel less like you were looking to open a dialogue or talk about things

I realise you weren't, sorry if I was pissing you off to, I'm just also not in a generally great mood due to like irl things you know about, but also that I realised on Friday I have an assignment for uni due tonight at midnight not in a week's time and it's really fucked up my plans. also I ended up getting high yesterday when I went for a walk and then was too baked to do anything all evening so was really pissed off with myself and probably took it out a bit here on you (and maybe on pooky too tbh, sorry pooky, although you are still being weird and the fact you keep going on about pocketing feels somewhat antagonistic)

I think I was also bothered by your take that I/elements could be scum together, and wrote one of the slightly more inflammatory posts before you could clarify that you'd meant to add an AREN'T* scum together clarification, so sorry about that too

I was also just pissed off for accidentally outing myself when I wanted to have a really quiet game without the weight of expectations, y'know

TLDR:

1 Mena!town believes that skitter woke up saw town!vax as leading wagon and decided to Wk pocket him by leading a misyeet on Mena!town 2 who happens to worship the ground she walks on... on day1. So 3 Mena!town decides to vow to duel skitter!scum and with his dying breath reveal her for the villain she is 4 so she may never terrorize the innocent townsfolk again.

Is this accurate Mena?

(1) no, I was thinking skitter wakes up and decides to white knight a misguillotinable slot for cred because that's entirely something I can see scum doing if they come in. I also didn't think she came in planning to pocket /him/ bc quite frankly pockets aren't necessarily that useful when they're on low impact players (and vax is demonstrably low impact rn by virtue of being top wagon) -- I think it was to look good if he gets flipped anyway and to give her more ability to control the midgame, if she's scum. has the added benefit of being an early way to undermine me if I'm wrong, and I was also bothered by the suggestion that she was scumreading both me AND elements which was, I thought, a very strange take for her to have (me white knighting town!elements is a totally reasonable take, and I can see how she gets there)

(2) this is like... not true? I like and have a lot of respect for skitter, and we get on well, but your framing it this way is weird tbh

(3) I mean... not really? I have good reasons to think skitter would potentially force a guillotine today no the person she wants and she made a post talking about how she was going to "rip me to shreds" so I wouldn't say it's so simple as me "vowing to duel her" and that seems an active mischaracterisation of what happened

(4) this is just like... not at all what I said and is an attempt to make what I was saying look ridiculous. my point was that skitter is traditionally pretty good at reading town!me and is generally not intentionally trying to start a fight with me, whereas in this case she was (a) proposing I was scum and (b) looking to throw down (what I thought initially, now thinking I may have been wrong/partly culpable myself) -- and given that those two things are not features of her town game normally, and having played with her a lot, my point was that it should seriously undermine skitter's cred going on and be very scum indicative for her if she were to force my elimination on D1 after initiating that conflict

- i wasn't trying to be antagonistic, and you i guess read that i was being, and responded in kind, but then when i read what you responded, i felt like you were being antagonistic out of nowhere, so *i* responded in kind because i thought you were ramping up randomly and i didn't think i'd done anything to warrant that ... but i don't think either of us actually wanted to go down that route just then ...

- yeah i really didn't think you/elements could be scum together, it was a typo, i was reading it more as tvs

- the 'ripping to shreds' bit is that i felt 532 was really antagonistic and misreppy and i wanted to take it apart. i wasn't necessarily talking about forcing like a vote on you, more that i didn't like what you wrote there and felt it was wrong and felt like i needed to say exactly what i disliked about it

- the day1 townread thing bothered me like a year ago, it doesn't really bother me anymore, but when you ddin't go down that route it just made me feel like 'uhhhhh something weird is going on ???' just cuz you always do that, and i haven't not seen you do that in literally i think a year
