pooky’s posting looks more like what I’d expect from town!him (when he was talking about how VP was pushing him, that felt like him screaming about datisi in micro 960). I feel like I’m pretty meh about the rest of the pool. It’s hard to pin gamma and noraa because I feel like the majority of my impression of their posting is yelling at each other and I don’t think their argument should be considered AI particularly. I don’t have a good grasp on how they’re approaching the game.

How well do Noraa and VP know each other? They both seem very trusting of the other when I think town would be more suspicious/paranoid of early mutual townreads. Noraa is suspicious of gamma townreading her (a trait I generally consider towny), but why isn’t she paranoid of VP?

also just an apology, work is a hot mess. I’m trying to majorly limit screen time (ie visit ms like once per day) because my eyes are screaming for mercy. I have like... 5 more hours of work left and then can try to pop back in, but this is basically how it’s going to be for the foreseeable future.

Here's my biggest problem with hyperposting, and especially hyperposting when there's literally no content to comment on: it's almost impossible to nail a person down on anything and the vast majority of their posts are going to be like this, where it's either repeating something they've already said or just baselessly throwing takes around. they make a bad post and then you point it out and they bury you in a bunch of bullshit and it's hard to engage with or analyze any one post because there's so many, they tend to be contradictory, and the person posting just keeps making new ones that they say explain everything but are just as bad.

"pooky's play doesn't make sense as scum" why? this is not explored or explicated. it's just stated as fact.
"it's a very anti-town play" why is it anti-town? why is it anti-town but not pro-scum? again, this is not explored or explicated. it's in contradiction to the sentence immediately preceding it, but then right after noraa say "regardless, probs not scum". why? who knows. I shouldn't need a decoder ring and five special pirate maps to puzzle out what someone is thinking in a game that's primarily based on arguing. if your reads are unclear and mysterious, it's probably because they're bad or fake.

now look, I don't really care if later on, noraa has explained this post if pushed on it because explaining bad posts is part of being scum. See what I did in that sentence? I said something was scummy, said why something was scummy, and gave a reason why a mitigating factor doesn't change my read. It's really not that hard to do when your reads are based on something other than a need to push a misyeet or not get yeeted.

@UT- Noraa and VP reads are based off their handling of the hood. I think Noraa is being Naive and it’s being exploited by VP.

Gamma and I play very contrasting and have different base beliefs on how a game is supposed to go. I fully expect to disagree with a lot of his choices this game and I have (read- Noraa interactions and AtE self voting)

Pooky isn’t scum with VP because it doesn’t nKe sense for scum a to lolchallenge scum b so fast into the day? Literally nothing was set and they could have gone anywhere! I think Pooky asserting he HAS to be town for being stupid is sketchy but he’s not scum if VP is imo.

I think VP is trying to maintain an “all town hood” facade after it was proposed and it bothers me. That in conjunction with not liking his knee jerk vote on Pooky being worded in a way to provide an out after it flipped green? Just bad vibes all around. I don’t like his comments about gamma recently where he took something out of context for gamma either.

I have been concerned with VP before but it has never been voiced in thread.

For the most part tho, I still pretty solidly believe that VP is town.

I think he's town cuz I agree with most of what he says. That is he says stuff and I agree. Not I say stuff and he agrees.
And overall, I see town saying what he says more often than scum.
He also had one pretty town post in the hood that I'll pull out if needed and with his permission ofc.

Because I think starting a neighborhood on trust carries an expectation that Noraa is transparent with me. If she fails to deliver on that transparency, which she proposed, then I will be able to easily see scum motivation. Scum can't keep up the charade indefinitely, and the more she talks, the more I can assess her alignment.

Agreeing to a day of openness is hugely beneficial for me to read her (and I'm assuming that was her intent as well).
