From my point of view, the biggest takeaway from yesterday was that mafia still felt comfortable claiming vanilla even after vaxkiller's vanilla claim failed to work. Or maybe it's more like they felt uncomfortable claiming anything else.

Just look at the "assume I'm town" she gave me twice. The second one is a question that comes AFTER I'm already saying she's probably town. It's only there as a crumb. Then, the whole pretending to scumread me theatre followed by putting me back in the townpool when she gave up on it is fairly obvious imo.
