Of the 2 scum, only one of them is really "endgamable" - it is the one that won't commit suicide upon death of the child.

Let's call these scum LoveScum and EndgameScum.

LoveScum is a liability, they are attached to a child that is on the town side. If the scum kill the townside child, the other townside child knows they are attached to a scum AND becomes basically an IC. Scum can never win a 1v1 against the mafia-Child if the scum that is alive at the end is a LoveScum because:

A) if lovescum dies, scum lose

b) if child dies, scum still lose.

Peta's bussing of DV, his bussing of me, these all make sense from the perspective that Peta is EndGame-Scum, and thus the more valuable of the two since he is not attached to my love.

His high effort, high WIM, high "townie-ness" these all make sense from the perspective he knows he is setting up to play for the endgame as that endgame-scum.

Now flip the scenario around and look at the game state in the world where Peta is the child and I am the EndgameScum.

Does my play make any sense whatsoever if I'm the more important of the two scum?

Do you see me setting up early or trying to look townie or do anything whatsoever to prepare for this endgame?

I am literally disconnected from the game-state.

I have no desire to make myself look "more townie"

This is because I wanted to keep myself on the table as a viable mis-elim to dodge a scum-nightkill

in the event I was actually Town-Child that is linked to 2 lovers

You need to look at the motivations behind our play and look for what makes sense for each of us to do assuming we have the role PMs.

Our actions this game make perfect sense in a Peta!scum Pooky!town world.

They make absolutely no sense if we are in a Pooky!scum Peta!Town world.

hence I would not actually get targetted if I was townside child.
