I felt really strongly on reading that Ydrasse was town, and Mafia Commuter Enabler feels icky af to me as a role. This setup looks horribly unbalanced to me without her role as well. Like I'll go back and look at her ISO when I get a chance but it really doesn't feel right.

Gypyx has felt towny all game. I think he has a lot more motivation as town than scum and his response times have been low and engagement has been fairly high. I'm just remembering my early seasons to townread him now and how comfortable he felt in-thread, when he can be quite forced early on as scum.

I want to go Samatha or TGP today... my reads have changed a lot since start of day.

How are you reading Ydrasse? I think her emotions are real regardless of alignment, it's just a question of examining whether her takes are real.

like, bell so far feels self conscious in the way that he’s approached things? the first thing i noticed was in the post where he voted tsunami (i am on mobile so no post linking) and the second was the wagon hop.

the first stands out more to me because it felt like... forced casualposting; a bit of conversation with me and then a vote tacked on despite having a few posts prior to having been on the thread. it’s a bit like he just wanted to slip on into things without being noticed much. and the wagon hop just sticks out a bit, like a sore thumb for how it was awkward. it’s definitely my strongest sr right now

the self conscious thing

bell’s posting has an air of discomfort to it that feels at odds with the first few posts he made when he started to interact with me (which might be why it stuck out to me too). it’s self conscious in that i read it as an effort from bell to be Cool and Collected that seems feigned which... just ends up falling flat.

Shouldn't you be hard buddying your scummates if you're scum rather than making them feel uncomfortable early on, Ydrasse? Does this mean you're town?! That or Bell hatched a plan in the scum PT like the sneaky bus-loving-Bell he is.

So btw more reasons to scumread Ydrasse by play

- Singlemindedness on Samantha throughout - lack of trajectory when new info comes in
- Lack of strong takes other than samantha, fence-sitting on Vax/Bell (pre-guilt) in crucial moments.
- Off the Vax wagon
- Bell's nonchalantness with dying prob points to one rather townread wolf - Ydrasse.
- Town comm enabler means Ydrasse dying = town loses lots of power, Ydrasse's play isn't very self-pres at all even after the multiple comms claimed

Ydra/Sam seems p unlikely given ydrasse's push there so ydra/gypyx?????

so hbb is basically modconfirmed town, but I actually really like the story of what him being scum would look like.

Hbb scum would be a split magical fairy messenger. N1 he splits on pelican/shoshin, after that he always splits on the kill +fellow scumbutt. so only one message. He also claims fruit receipt because somehow bell only hit vts with fruit.

The beauty of this is more how it interacts with the flavor than anything else. Hbb is little boonie. Someone who can reach out *across universes* to touch people. And when she touches them, she makes it so other people can reach out and touch them too. Unfortunately, tragically, she's scum.. She touches people's heart, but only to watch them die. How poetic. Beautiful. Moving.

Sadly probably not true because if hbb is lying town had like basically no investigative power ever this game and the setup is like... Really extremely scumsided. Everything in the setup makes more sense if he is town and we can just preflip him town, but before I preflip someone as town it's healthy to review the world of what them being scum would look like. Hbb scum is kinda a beautiful, flavor appropriate role, it just makes the balance of the setup hilariously nonexistent. Does anyone actually think a nonconsecutive fruit vendor is actually enough town investigative power in a setup with 3 commuters and an enchantress? Yeah didn't think so, so we all agree we can preflip hbb yeah?

Actually the only reason to still think about hbb is the shoshin kill because he could kill her to avoid it being revealed he was not modconfirmed fn, the problem being him being real town fn is also the exact same reason scum would kill shoshin, so she couldn't just confirm him.
