to re-clarify, i possibly did not correctly understand the plan, as pooky did say something about unlocking that i did not interpret to mean there would be a code that i would know to show the town that pooky was creating fake suspicion

I told her I would shade her so people would think I'd be willing to vote her, so she won't be nightkilled and we end up in a f3 in which the bad guy expects me to vote for Jessie. I would then not vote for her instead, to flip the tables on that bad guy.

I was going to put a hidden message in the shading that she would be able to unlock to show that the shade was fake in the event I died instead of continuing on to f3.

She said she didn't want to do this plan.

i think the conspirators win condition is probably to separate us. and i am worried about final three.

so when isis starts the day with jessie is not town, or pooky says in the pt during the night that they will create suspicion of me in order to get me alive into the next day phase, this is very suspicious

That's why I suggested keeping it in the PT and using a hidden doublespeak code.

One major sticking point I used to harp on a lot way back when was how obfuscating your townreads was a powerful strategy and how you shouldn't do readslists because it helps mafia more than town.

I don't know that it's actually sustainable in the current meta where people townread eachother's townreading and solve games that way, but it was true back then, I swear

Back in 2008 townreading was rare and scumreading was super common so you could discard a very small fraction of your play to accomplish this.

perhaps when there are more than five living players, i could see this being reasonable though i'd likely disagree. haven't previously thought about this at length so i don't know for sure.

but then i would have to trust you and show my cards to you. and if i don't trust you and only show my cards to you this seems to have some built-in issues.
