It seems that we can turnstile just fine, so I think what I was originally saying was right

The strat isn't dumb as long as don't dedicate everything to it. It's something to keep in mind on the side as we accomplish our main goal of removing scum from the game. Playing only to the strat would be dumb, but that's not what I'm arguing.

If literally every single TPR is in the wrong timestream then I kinda feel like this setup was even more heavily scumsided than I thought, but it is possible we approached the mechanic incorrectly on day 1. But if so we got trolled pretty hard by the publicly revealed incentive of mass-ICs/preventing scum kills.

It's like "turnstile a scummy watcher" vs. "ic half the game and cut scum kills in half" -- uhh, if every single TPR is temporally gated, actually turnstiling the scummy watcher is better, but without a massclaim option 2 looks WAY more appealing

Like just think about this: If you were sucm would you EVER let yourself be in a position where you create a half game full of ICs? It's so ridiculously dumb to think that town shooting in the dark is going to outwit the scumteam with PTs, mech info, etc. Best case scenario we're wasting turnstyles that can create PRs worst case we're shooting ourselves in the foot.

If you argued skitter was solvable as town, then you'd have an argument. Otherwise, this "the plan cannot ever work" argument is just wasting our time. Obviously scum will try to not let the plan succeed. That does not mean you do not try. Your logic here is the same newbie logic that makes people argue against flipping on day 1. "But we don't have enough information yet, let's see who scum kills so we can make better decisions..."... meanwhile winrates for town drop off a cliff

If you have enough confidence in skitter being town, that you would risk jeopardizing the chance to have ~6-8 ICs, then make the case for why you believe you can hard townlock skitter and thus it is worth sending her here. Stop arguing about the plan with your read detached. Skitter has a high scumrange, and some people here are having trouble finding her town. If she came here, right now I'd probably just tell her to be leashed to Brian. People might disagree with that, too. But for me personally, keeping Brian alive a few more days is not necessarily worth the hassle of having skitter in this thread when I honestly have no idea what her alignment is. If there's a more functional use for skitter that I'm not seeing, or if you believe YOU can sell skitter for HARD town, let me know though.

My view of pre-flips varies on the game, but I think pre-flipping yourself in your own analysis is okay personally. Maybe that's a wild against the grain take though....

Read zmuff's ISO and look at his approach to Shelly. He soft-defends Shelly, slowly comes around to scum being between A50 and Shelly but really tries hard not to commit to the read too much, then reacts to the roleclaim in post 2507 in a very weird way. Completely believes it it sounds like, and acting sad about the PR loss and like the elim is inevitable (to be fair it really was). In post 2527 argues the claim has no purpose as scum, because no survival value, but ends the post speculating on it being scum anyway.

After changing to a townread, counter to what seems like the majority opinion, Muff undercuts his townread of Shelly at every mention, never getting too close to derailing the wagon.

Not that I care all that much about the Purple Room part of it, but I just feel like Titus is a townread and might benefit disproportionately from it compared to some others.
