Skitter, I really think you should try to re-evaluate some things. Regardless of the fact that you retracted it after rereading Entrapta's post, post 4404 shows a ridiculous amount of confbias. I appreciate that you noticed the mistake but the fact that you made it in the first place shows that you're not approaching this neutrally. Also if pre-flips are so bad maybe don't use that to argue that since Pooky is scum the plan is doomed to failure?

The two of you are blowing the amount of effort needed to attempt this way out of proportion, it's not high-risk-high-reward, it's low risk humongous reward. And it's only such an issue because of the vehemence with which the two of you are still arguing against it.

Zmuff immediately acted like he believed the claim, but then in the next post spent a bunch of time coming around to undercutting his defense of Shelly.

This fits a larger pattern.

Almost every comment about A50 from Zmuff has been poking suspicion at A50, and there are a lot of those, it's a frequent thing he comments on. He was also townreading Shelly off and on. But also acts like he has no opinion between the two of them. There's a definite pattern towards avoiding undermining the Shelly wagon while vaguely disapproving of it.

I'm in the camp that thinks that if we think A50 is scum, we should elim instead of turnstile, and turnstile someone else

I think thinking that we'll all be cleared with 1 turnstile is too optimistic and is playing to our best case scenario.

Another way to put it is, we're really far ahead if there's only 1 scum and we elim them today, we don't need to further play into that scenario. We need to account for the scenario where we're not far ahead, and not fall behind more by turnstiling someone who should be elimned

The strat isn't dumb as long as don't dedicate everything to it. It's something to keep in mind on the side as we accomplish our main goal of removing scum from the game. Playing only to the strat would be dumb, but that's not what I'm arguing.

If literally every single TPR is in the wrong timestream then I kinda feel like this setup was even more heavily scumsided than I thought, but it is possible we approached the mechanic incorrectly on day 1. But if so we got trolled pretty hard by the publicly revealed incentive of mass-ICs/preventing scum kills.

It's like "turnstile a scummy watcher" vs. "ic half the game and cut scum kills in half" -- uhh, if every single TPR is temporally gated, actually turnstiling the scummy watcher is better, but without a massclaim option 2 looks WAY more appealing

On one hand, I hate how mech focused this slot is because it's filler but this tonally feels town.

Read zmuff's ISO and look at his approach to Shelly. He soft-defends Shelly, slowly comes around to scum being between A50 and Shelly but really tries hard not to commit to the read too much, then reacts to the roleclaim in post 2507 in a very weird way. Completely believes it it sounds like, and acting sad about the PR loss and like the elim is inevitable (to be fair it really was). In post 2527 argues the claim has no purpose as scum, because no survival value, but ends the post speculating on it being scum anyway.

After changing to a townread, counter to what seems like the majority opinion, Muff undercuts his townread of Shelly at every mention, never getting too close to derailing the wagon.
