oh. scum prob have some sort of bypass to most of the roles in this game in a limited capacity. watcher / doc co-existing, but starting in separate timeline isn't impossible by any means even without that anyway. like, 20:6 where scum get double kills for the first 3 nights (in most universes where this setup plays out) isn't exactly town-sided to begin with. i fully expect town to have some way of swinging things back in their favour, and this dumb n2 mechanic isn't it

I also think that in a game like this where town already get a ton of free information in the form of the N2 clear (or N2 NOT clear, which is still free information, although less useful) and the potential breakdowns of scum in each thread (4-2, 3-3, 2-4) that it's borderline impossible for town to have an IC, watcher, doc all usable in one time stream

Like that renders the game practically unwinnable for scum if town pursue clearing the Forwards thread even if they have a strongman over here

probably assuming no protective role is a mild town indicator if you sit down and think about it lol

The N2 mechanic is very informative regardless of whether one thread gets full-cleared by removing all scum

Even if our lim today does not full clear our thread we know that AT LEAST one of the remaining players in Forwards is scum and every death from this side continues to box the remaining scum in to where they can easily be PoE'd as the game progresses

And that's not to mention any other information roles that get turnstiled over here or are currently unclaimed that can help narrow the pool even more

tl;dr I find it unbelievable that the IC/watcher/doc combo being usable in one time stream would be at all balanced given what we know about the setup

As for hench’s point about it being hard to try to save my slot when I think like that, fmpov you were either informed or made an assumption. I felt like I did due diligence by hearing you out and not immediately calling for your execution. I let you post more, whilst pressuring you and trying to figure out what the angle was. ultimately I backed off.

the n2 mechanic is fine, it's just not a make-or-break thing in terms of balancing out double-kills vs double-days (and it's not even a standard double day because of synchronous flips)

Huh. Didn’t cakez do something weird like that in xeno or something.it wasn’t a super strong association fmpov so I just went the slow route while trying to push other reads and see what fell out.

yeah obviously my point there was more that you alone would know that my intervention into you/shelly was t/t whereas everyone else would not know that you are a T and thus would have a more complex analysis of our interactions there.

you're so fucking town and although skitter is almost the only player on this site that could be so aggressively wrong on me for as long as she has (and in fact her almost complete inability to actually case me beyond 'I just think she's* scum' I still have second guessed that read nearly constantly and the idea that she is town this game actually just pisses me off. I would dramatically prefer that she flip scum
