# Among Us - Hasc

Lets go! 4:30am ISO analysis, not a case, just my thoughts on what I recalled being a shite ISO.

Preempting what options are available to screw us over maybe using knowledge of the actual game and how that might translate into game purposes.

Oh well if they enjoy it then I guess that's okay no wait the opposite of that.

In the event this scenario happens why would the focus be on Reck and not, you know, the only living person in the room?

I signed up to play a Mafia game, not solve a logic puzzle. And in my experience people who want the town to focus on the logic puzzle instead of the Mafia game tend to be scum.

Similarly, I'm not in favor of No Elimination today because it hands scum a free kill.

Right, reading 20 pages for real this time.
Eugh this made me squick.

Why did I not follow up on a conversation about a topic not being a great thing to talk about? It is a mystery.

Blitzo's iso bothers me. I like a lot of the questions he's asking, but I don't feel like there's a lot of follow-up.
Titus wrote:I'm going to electrical. I'm doing my task.

Option A has a big problem here. Can anybody else see what it is?

Her reads in 580 are terrible, too. Misrepresentation of my game + Wildly overreacting to BM's 254 + Appeal to meta + 3 reads with literally no substance behind them.
Unvote; Vote: Titus

Taly is by far my strongest townread for being the person who is visibly doing the most scumhunting. OutWorldER looks good too for similar reasons and also I like a lot of his posts.

That's all for now.
Speakin of no follow up, Teacher didn't chase the student down. and yeah I see the problem, is it really votable though? like if scum get that task then yeah we got less to do. couple more reads.

Haschel, if you're not in favor of handing scum free kills
why the heck are you opposed to claiming rooms?
Because it gives the scum waaaaaaay too much room to maneuver and at the moment they have a lot more information about how to use game mechanics to their advantage than we do.
This feels TMI, doesn't want to discuss mechanics but wants to just lay down, not do any mech hunt discussion and get on with it? Like I'm not a huge fan of persistent tech talk but I feel that in this kinda case it's an amazing oppotunity to force a slip.

BM is scum for waiting on a consensus before voting me. His position on me is just hot garbage in his ISO. He appeared fine when it was just me and him going to electrical but sad when Ali was added to the mix. That would have three in electrical. Removing me makes two in electrical.
Is there more to it than that?

It's dumb because we should be no eliminating.

The sheer number of people voting to eliminate means we will eliminate, so it might as well be on scum.
Mine wasn't a rhetorical question, btw.
Yup, Sir Hasc just called Titus up in front of the class.

Thinking about this post and the post I've just dismembered prior to this, why do I get the feels that you're leaving posts unlinkable so people can't do back and check contexts for themselves? Like this bit is missing the contest I've started trying to do a bit of work.

Okay. BM-wagon = Bad, Murdercat-wagon = Good, Titus and Flea also good candidates for scum.
Flea just spent some time and energy trying to work out something in a very specific context. Flea is currently expending time and energy going over your ISO to make sure fae aren't going out of faer mind... assuming fae has a fae mind fae can fae quite happily in. #6amCoffeeThoughts

Battle Mage has been my number 1 SR for ages, so it's hardly unexplained.

In post 2186, Akarin wrote:The first thing is his entrance to the game: He comes in ready to talk a bit of mech and only slightly uncooperative. 5 actual minutes later, the plan is "bad and doomed to failure." And Pooky is sus for suggesting it. When Alisae asked him why, all he'd say was"If you don't know then now is certainly not the time to tell you." As if there were some mech reason. Later when I asked him again why this was worth giving scum a free NK (after my big example) his extremely persuasive reason was just "Because it gives the scum waaaaaaay too much room to maneuver and at the moment they have a lot more information about how to use game mechanics to their advantage than we do." That's it. Despite not wanting to tell Alisae earlier, and all the reasoning I gave, his 5 minute turn-around is just that strong.
Congrats, this is a summary of what happened. You have correctly identified the fact that I was lukewarm on discussing mechanics and then decided that discussing mechanics helped scum more than town and therefore decided to stop discussing mechanics and later said it wasn't good to discuss mechanics. Stellar scumhunting, chief.

As for my interactions with Titus, Titus pinged me as a scummy player and then did absolutely nothing to suggest otherwise.
In post 2187, Akarin wrote:Titus wrote:
I'm going to electrical. I'm doing my task.

Either a) scum kill me and leave less for y'all to do

Or b) scum kill elsewhere and I can get those tasks.

Agreeing to anything else seems stupid.
Option A has a big problem here. Can anybody else see what it is? (Titus was wrong about the setup, why is this scummy? And why does Haschel understand this part of the setup but not the rest?)
In Option A, the scum kill Titus and then somebody still has to do her task because tasks aren't completed during the night phase. I expect town players to have paid close attention to how their tasks are actually performed.
In post 2187, Akarin wrote:In post 1436, Haschel Cedricson wrote:
So his voting pattern both makes him transparently scum and can't make you 100% sure he's scummy. Do I have that correct?

Like this doesn't seem like a damning contradiction to me.
Good point, assuming you redefine "transparently" and "100%" to mean things that they don't actually mean.
In post 2187, Akarin wrote:Then there's the whole WHY ARE YOU DODGING THE QUESTION interaction: After Titus votes BM, Haschel: "Oh no. You of all people do not get to just drop a vote with no reasoning and walk away. Why Battle Mage over the other wagons? Does the case against Murdercat make sense?" Murdercat was the other wagon here, and at this point Haschel was saying the BM wagon was bad and Murdercat was good. I actually agree with that at that point in the game, but when Titus says BM has been her main scumread for ages Haschel makes this big weird deal about Titus apparently "dodging the question" of whether the Murdercat wagon makes sense. When Flareon asks what it is, Haschel insists that no one but Titus should answer. Like he's expecting some useful scumhunting trap out of not telling Titus what the Murdercat case is. When she eventually catches up, she says post 1953she has no idea why the wagon is a thing[/url].
There were two wagons at the time, and Titus didn't comment on the Murdercat one at all. I don't care that she said BM had been her main scumread for ages; I've already established that was an incredibly weak position to have in the first place given the reasoning Titus presented. Meanwhile we have another player in Murdercat a lot of people are suggesting is scummy; there's a decent case laid out, and Titus ignores it in favor of pushing a counterwagon (on a player that I believe is town) with the minimum of effort. When pressured, she refuses to give an opinion on Murdercat or the Murdercat wagon. I wasn't presenting a trap, I was trying to force her to commit to a stance on a player who at the time was looking like a feasible elimination so we could get associative tells later. And then the kicker is she has no idea why the wagon is a thing. Bullshit. The case and most of the wagon were all presented on the same page. Titus is a player trying to avoid giving detailed reads.
In post 2187, Akarin wrote:Titus wasn't voting MURDERCAT, so what was even the point? It served to put a lot of pressure on Titus but???
Hmm yes, what is the point in getting the opinion of a player on the counterwagon to the person they are voting? You even answer your own question in the second sentence. Pressure = Pressure.
In post 2215, Taly wrote:I don't know why else Haschel focuses on Titus unless it's like him as town to just sit on one person for the entirety of D1.
My scumreads are either Titus or Titus-adjacent, so yeah, this is the best direction to direct my energy right now.

Yes.

Titus bad, Flea bad, Murdercat not great. Blitzo is also not great; there's a lack of pressuring and follow-through from him that hits me the wrong way. I also don't want to OMGUS but portraying my last post as "only showing up when my neck is on the line" is either disingenuous or ignorant of how time zones work. Battle Mage town, you town, DGB town. Everyone else hasn't really registered too much other than the mass-claim debacle.

This is, more or less, what I was thinking--I'm not sold on the Flea-is-scum case. It's a good case, but it's not a case that I think lockscums Flea. I can believe Flea as town just as easily as I can believe Flea as scum.

But, I do see Flea as a high chance of being scum--not guaranteed, but high chance. I legit think that one, but not both, of Flea/Haschel are scum; basically all the evidence says that if one is scum, the other isn't, and that if one flips town, it's highly likely the other is scum.

I personally would prefer Haschel first, so I'm not exactly happy with the Flea wagon, but I'm okay with it overall.

I've had my desire to create reinvigorated, by the way. Might spend time doing something, since I'm all minecrafted out, don't feel like more League, and it's so early with me not being tired. Let's hope!

Can I just say that Pooky and MURDERCAT,
regardless
of Haschel/Flea, are suspicious?

There's literally 5/7 common names on both wagons. I know myself to be town, I trust SirCakez to be town, and despite some reservations on Titus and her lack of VCA I still think she's town, but regardless of Haschel/Flea's alignments, I wanna say that Pooky and MURDERCAT are both highly highly suspect.

In the world where Haschel/Flea are both town, I'd go so far as to say Pooky/MURDERCAT are both lockscum.
But even with only one of Haschel/Flea being town, and the other being scum, I would say that there's still a high chance for Pooky/MURDERCAT being scum.

Also, I need to get back into blogging.

hey sorry i was working on trust falls over the course of this night but im super bad at staying on task. i got 3 players done. gonna try to get the rest done when i wake up. im sorry again.

MURDERCAT:

-The way they softed their post restriction early on in a towny way.
-Doesn’t want to rush on D1
-Is more concerned with getting scumhunt info than utilizing the mechanic of doing tasks.
-Really like their tone ngl
Want to point out murder did say “what if town just claims tasks” - yeah the sabo that was directed at me is part of that answer.
-Their reads progression so far feels organic on reread
-TONE really good. I mentioned before but i really like the tone
Lol noticed the townhunting thing from murder, poor murder townread scum who i caught in our most recent game :( very sad. But he figured it out in the end.
-kept voting other people before the consensus no elim as pressure.
- Bell discredited them while there was a big wagon on them
-while being voted and a probable elim he brazenly expresses a townread for bell
-is generally not caring whether or not they are elimmed
- was alone with a player in reactor and that player did not die
-was concerned with Titus’ logic for scumreading them and pushed them when they wouldn’t respond

BLITZO
-late entrance. Weird thing to point out as towny, but personally I myself am more aware of a game starting as scum. I want to make my splash early, so I plan to be around when thread starts or close to it.
-immediately got into scumhunting
-progressed a read on DGB naturally from scum to townlean? Yeah
-pushed for an elim, which feels like going against the grain which is not natural scum behavior
-interactions gun to head with bell feel like town interacting with scum
-over the course of d1 so far I see they have imperative in responding to everyone and keeping up discussion.
-voted bell d2 and also had good reasoning to back that push up

MASTINA/THEGOLDENPARADOX
-early tone is good
-claimed strict restrictions, and naturally showed reasoning that was consistent with knowing they wouldnt be able to post as well next day.
-townread a post that they classified as bad(384)
-fought with bell early
-their mech claims feel towny
-kept rooms to themselves, comes from town perspective
-case on blitzo is pretty thorough and not shallow(1495)
-is playing a game where they are being secretive with intent to hide info from scum
-(mastina replaces in here)
-very active and posting a lot of replies to people
-their analysis of my entrance is just “bad town” vibes which lines up with the rest of mastina’s iso where i generally see shallowish stuff.

FLEATHEMAGICIAN
-eager to mech solve
-nonchalant about being voted
-claimed the word count restriction task early.
-good meta read on ali(my slot)
-their case on titus feels natural
-vibing with the post restriction break to remind of pronouns, something i would do lol

also im comfortable locktowning murdercat here BTW based on what i read.

FLEATHEMAGICIAN
-eager to mech solve
-nonchalant about being voted
-claimed the word count restriction task early.
-good meta read on ali(my slot)
-their case on titus feels natural
-vibing with the post restriction break to remind of pronouns, something i would do lol

also im comfortable locktowning murdercat here BTW based on what i read.

don't like the flea wagon because past experience (Student Council) with fae tells me faer limbaity. haven't really seen anything they've said as super scummy. wagon composition also does not give me good vibes.

Flea, I need a TL;DR at the end of your posts.

In post 3701, mastina wrote:Can I just say that Pooky and MURDERCAT, regardless of Haschel/Flea, are suspicious?

I'm town.

I can get behind killing MurderKitty tho.

I got a blog entry for you.

lol Battle Mage wonders whether SirCakez really believes he is the most 1-dimensional transparent scum who just sits around ineffectually but conspicuously defending my buddies.

Battle Mage remembers the last game he saw SirCakez as scum, and can believe that this is how SirCakez would play.

That, uh. Doesn't instill towncred if it's scum-scum? At the time of Bell's elimination, MURDERCAT, Battle Mage, and Pooky should've all been aware of Bell being scum in this game. (I did check to confirm this.)

On that note, do you know how lightbulbs tend to burn out? Well, the one in my room, instead of completely burning out and being 100% dark, now emanates an ominous purple glow. It's like a glow in the dark dance. Except I doubt it's actually ultraviolet, it just is permanently a purplish hue, radiating some amount of light even after it should've long-since burned out. It's comparable to instead of a star exploding on death, instead shrinking vastly in size and changing colors. Lowkey wondering if my room may be irradiated in toxic chemicals tho.

vote Pooky, please. I think literally every active player at the moment has expressed SR on Pooky, he shouldn't have only one vote. Flea/Hasch are bad elims.
