Then frankly Oil becomes arena bait if we can't decide who is scum to send into the arena.

In theory if we have a protective and oil activates the power tonight nobody dies.
Also in theory an investigative will get MULTIPLE RESULTS... or at least, something traceable.

Clearly it's more likely that they KNEW Mastina wouldn't be protected, which suggests Oil-scum. If they didn't know Mastina would be protected, frankly, they are dense and got very lucky.

Oil-scum means Bell-town.

Oil-town means Bell is worth a good look.

I don't think the claim is worth much - it's an easy scum fakeclaim right? Bell feels out on a limb. But they'll be sorted in due time, so I wouldn't sweat it for today.

It's worth keeping the 3p alive if they are a 3p because, I don't have any other abilities and it's likely based on the current abilities that there are more town abilities out there that would benefit fi the 3p claim is true.

Oil's ability got announced, also I don't start a game (esp. 13p) assuming it will be multiball, so know that we know there's 3P stuff involved we need to take that into account with Bell's investigative. If they come up red it doesn't matter anyways though yes

maybe I'm being dense but...Oil's ability could be a scum ability no? But you assumed 3P despite initially positioning yourself very strongly otherwise. Did I miss something?

"I suicide" is a 3P ability in my book. Oil is clearly at minimum scumsiding so they are scum, whether that be scum 3P or true scum. Combine that with Oil's 3P claim and I think Flea/Oil are a 3P team that's scumsiding

They are a 3P team, and Flea's big plan was to...elim them both in 1 go? Notwithstanding the fact they backtracked.

I just think 3p for BOTH is a real long shot here, and may not be true for either, but you're treating it as the most likely scenario. Doesn't seem great to me.

The more town in the game, the better.
I want to make it clear I want you in that arena because knowing your alignment helps considerably more than not in this town zeitgeist.
I don't think your role is particularly townie from what you've said about it and I don't think you wanting to activate your ability makes sense.

If you're confirmed to be town then great. Stick around. vote other people that might be scum instead of just disappearing cutting us down one town?

I think it's a mis-judged play if you're town, although tbh I still don't really understand what your judgement was here - it felt like your claim was completely redundant and an unnecessary outting for minimal/no benefit. If you're scum, I don't know if it's "awkward" - maybe it's a good gambit, given people less paranoid than me have seemed to bite.

Oil has to activate their ability every night for 3 days to achieve their win condition.
They can't refuse to use their ability according to their claim and this is easily verified tomorrow whether they lied abbout their abilities if in the unlikly event they survive to tommorrow.
