I pressured cook early a ton early and created most of that wagon's early momentum but decided to put my vote elsewhere later because I wanted to gather more info, this is really disenginuous

Out of the scum, I would rather vote geraintm and then Facebones.

Andres – early onto Jim Hawkins, late onto Cook
Then day 2 Dkkoba

Andres/Rlotus – these are the two who came onto the cook wagon lateish and normally that would be sus to me.

But andres has the mason claim.

so, andres looks much worse than i initially had. i just totally misread how no points claim went down, I thought there were 3 masons (I have it in the spreadsheet I have tracking votes a ittle <- MASON next to andres' name and everything)
without them being a mason, they just get left with me thinking they looked bad day 1, happy to eliminate the each slot on day 2 and now day 3 the whole "i'm obviously town and how dare anyone think otherwise...." I just don't get.

Hypothetical: You join a game only because of person A. You roll scum, they roll town- would you want to vote for person A on D1 and have them eliminated for the rest of the game or would you prefer to keep them around for a bit longer and sheep their reads, in a very similar vein as one of your scum buddies (Cook) did?

I’ll answer here because I’m actually a bit offended that anybody would assume that I would not play to my win condition under all circumstances.

I would absolutely as Scum do everything in my power to win that was within the rules and in the good spirit of the game. If that involved either trying to pocket someone I like in the game, or hard pushing that same person, if the situation called for it, I would do it.

So no, don’t ever assume I would behave some other way just because I’m playing with someone I like. As either alignment. I may have my own biases and blind spots, but I wouldn’t intentionally try and sabotage whichever side I was on just because I had signed up to a game to play with someone. And besides, that was quite exaggerated - yeah, I like Koba, but I would never give up my game for someone else.

Koba is much better than you seem to be giving them credit for here. Yeah they make mistakes like everybody else. But they’re actually quite difficult to eliminate as Scum. I’ve been on the other side of it. Which is why I felt that given Koba’s play D1, perhaps getting it done sooner rather than later might be more beneficial. They actually looked through the game though and left a lot of thoughts behind, some of which I actually think are helpful.

Look if I’m staring at this objectively, the fact that no alternative wagon is building at all, and that you almost got hammered so quickly does not give me a whole lot of confidence that you’re Scum, for what it’s worth. D2 went somewhat similar to this, and though I haven’t compared wagons yet, I have a feeling this isn’t going the right direction. So help me here.
