hi krazy! you are definitely part of that as that first newbie was quite enjoyable (so thankyou!) and the first game i played (which i was still in at the time) was pretty much a disaster; those of you wise enough not to replace into a random game because the newbie queue was taking a bit are far ahead of where i was

Replacing into games is the best way to practice your scum game imo
I feel like it's 27% chance to roll scum normally and 50% chance to replace in to a scum slot

i did replace into a mafia slot; though that wasn't a meaningful part of the disaster, more the game containing multiple players who were banned, the mod being banned during the game, twenty pages of two now permabanned players fighting with eachother,

Hey since then I even ate a two week ban. On a related note, I will never under any circumstances talk about self meta this game and would ask that you never ask an SE to discuss their self meta.

But yeah idk, it sometimes can feel hard to get like *a really good game* ... Probably my strongest town game recently resulted in a town loss and a player banned for throwing so sometimes it can feel like the pieces never come together. I also veer toward overexplaining my play in newbie queue since I think my joke claims and confidence can be offputting to newer players

Ah no the game I was referring to was a large theme. Related point, don't scumclaim as town no matter how good you think your reads are/bad you think someone else's reads are
