Somewhat. In this case since you full claimed your role, now I am trying to figure out what questions we can ask the mod and what’s in the realm of possibility to catch a scum.

I made miscellaneous a category and proposed Oracle as her role since scum would likely think it anyway.
She needs to give what questions she can ask then can catch more scum with it.

Grendel kills target of our choice, they flip scum -> cool, grendel can stay, but what's the chance this happens with all the factors in play?

Grendel doesn't do anything -> maybe mafia RB or mafia saving role? or maybe grendel is scum lying about getting blocked. so what do we do here

I feel like these are the things we are going to need to address (as well as coming up with a target for grendel) if we want to make a plan on this and go with a different elimination today.

Others had suggested that a scum vig was v unlikely based on its rarity in the site meta. I haven't played enough games to know how frequent they are (I've never run into one)
