This is a bit the sort of hydra that worries me. Your first game had 421 posts, and there were sequences like this of hydra dissonance that really grate.

OTOH that was six years ago, and your last game was much more reasonable. Six years is a hella long time.

I'm fine with this hydra, pre-in accepted. You're both people I trust to be reasonable.

Good news! I promise whoever signs up a fairly quick game that will not take longer than a month, and could be as short as a week if players are cooperative.

No complicated mechanics whatsoever. In fact my wife looked at the name and description and guessed the entire setup with two tries, so it's not going to be a baffler at all.

Grand Idea UPick

Flavor/Mechanics:

Upon signing up, you will send me three roles from the Grand Idea thread: one town, one mafia/werewolf (either alignment is fine), and one of any alignment (town, mafia, werewolf, alien, third party, etc.). The roles should be selected from those that existed before the game entered signups. Roles that allow the moderator to choose the alignment are also allowed for any of the three roles. You must link to the post when submitting your role; please don't just send me the name of the role. I also reserve the right to veto any role for being overpowered, toxic, or otherwise unsuitable for the game. For each player, I will randomize which role they get out of the three they sent me using a weighted average (65% town, 20% mafia/werewolf, and 15% other). If the setup has fewer than 7 town, I will rerand the setup. Balance is explicitly not guaranteed.
