is it? going by the wiki i see that a scum universal backup would be impossible, but it didn't seem to say the same thing about specific backupsIn post 5501, jjh927 wrote:It's impossible in terms of how normal games work, and how it's definitely an announcing neapolitan"I would prefer not to." --Herman Melville,Bartleby the Scrivener- jjh927

100% completely and totally impossible, yes.In post 5498, Cephrir wrote:you think it's totally impossible jjh could be a scum backup neapolitan?
That is not a mechanic any Normal mod would ever use, yet alone a Normal listmod. Even were they to try it, I guarantee you that mechanic and interaction would be hard-veto'd by the reviewer. It might technically be a 'normal' mechanic allowed by the rules technically. But that sort of interaction isn't Normal and would be borderline bastard.- Almost50

At the bottom of page 218, and I am -again- confused! jjh says he has a result on Oka, and Oka claims he is a Commuter/Hider. Yet jjh posts:
Now wouldn't his claim be more damning since youIn post 5448, jjh927 wrote:But yeah I think Oka trying to cast aspersions on me is pretty damning heredidget a result?

That's pretty much why I don't design Normals. In post 5493, mastina wrote:In years upon years of setup review, I know for a fact that OkaPoka's claim is fundamentally flawed in a way that makes it 100% definitely not a real town role. There's multiple, fundimental, issues with the claim.

Ok, let's drop this for now.In post 5493, mastina wrote:(Xtoxm was a decent kill regardless, but it's pretty damn obvious the scum were blindsided by it being jjh and that they didn't know it was him and thought it had to be someone else and guessed wrong about it being Xtoxm)
FTR: I almost protected Xtoxm last night (I did think he was the Nea, and my second guess was Ceph too), but I decided to go for IV in case I was the NK).
Why IV? Because he was on neither of the Scum eliminations. Now imagine how I feel when I see him trying to express "doubt" over the result on Oka too. (Yes, he did say he would vote there, butcome on, what would YOU do if you were in his shoes??)
That said, I am obviously having one of my worst games, so I'll just shut up. Btw, I did suspect Oka, and it upset AGar for one. The ONE THING I can still brag about is: None of theflippedTownies was a serious SR of mine at any point of the game. LLD, DGB, Dann, Dunn, and Xtoxm (the only one I didn't exactly "lock!town" from the start). Other than that, I've been all over the place indeed.

I wonder who else noticed and publicly said Oka was role-fishing.In post 5493, mastina wrote:He tried to force a claim out of me, repeatedly,

Guess we're yeeting Oka today. K.Ski mask? Check! Sawed off? Check! Guilty conscience, fear of death? Check! Check! Check!

I would rather it be AGar too (to save me some grace)In post 5497, mastina wrote:While it could be either, I favor AGar > Winter Flakes from overall play across the game.

Like, I could go "I went into lengthy quarrels with both Oka & AGar, and I didn't exactly TR Bell/tw or Luca/hercule". I believe I did defend Winter to some extent.

not claiming my actions because if i die i die and my actions aren't going to solve anything and if i live then i have the power to dodge nks and the ev threat of that is better than anything else, maybe ill claim shots if im at l1 with intent and no backsies
although it should be pretty obvious i used a nk dodge n1- OkaPoka

although weirdly enough i think jjh understands its optimal to check ythan and titus. he's a smart boy. the only question is do you think he's confident enough on ythan town and titus town to bet the game on them being town. because in effect that's what he is arguing why he checked suboptimally. like jjh understands optimal checks here i don't see why nobody else does.- Cephrir

I think I might be willing to entertain the thought that hopkirk is the one that's scum (or maybe neither? Your role if real (despite how weird it is) might be shitty enough to coexist with another shitty role), but it doesnt seem likely to matter whether I do"I would prefer not to." --Herman Melville,Bartleby the Scrivener - Cephrir
