i keep hearing that my reason for voting Day is bad, but no one's told me why i should be townreading them, just that their reason for townreading Lucy

isn't

bad. which, sure, it's not bad, i think it's very strong, but i don't see why i should be townreading them, where i have plenty of other players i do townread.

i also don't get why day is being townread either

the thing with Day is that he was really looking for towny thought processes that were not immediately apparent, he's playing mediator, and then when i point out that this behavior is TMI and feels faked, he says i'm right (though that this is for a different reason), but also finds it strange that i scumread him for it.

His thought process regarding Lucy has been similar to mine, so I don't really agree

Tbh I didn't like Day's moment of reconsideration either as I didn't think what Lucy did was scummy and I expected Day to see that as well

i also didn't think it was very scummy, so much as something that contradicted itself (which townies do often, imo) and that would make sense for skitter to scumread. iirc, Day was scumreading skitter at that time? someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Yeah, the timeline being wrong doesn't actually mean Lucy is scummy for misrepresenting the facts. Especially when skitter22 can just point out the order is different (like she did). Everyone was saying it made her look really scummy though and in the moment I thought "oh, maybe Lucy is actually making things up to support her skitter scumread" or something like that when that's dumb in reality. It was the, uh, current climate of the time that got to my head.

I think it was more that Lucy's scumread on Mena was not very strong to begin with if she can flip it to Skitter pocketing Town!Mena on the drop of a hat.

Which would make her E1 vote and vacation comment feel very opportunistic and wolfy.
