I thought that you were responding to concerns about your alignment with what essentially amounted to “you’re obviously wrong, duuuh! Why are you even saying that?”

Just in different words.

For example your question to me has an obvious answer. You were confidently stating in your post that the alleged LAMIST was NAI.

Your question to Nexus had an even more obvious answer. You asked why he brought up the LAMIST. I think it’s pretty easy to infer that he thought it was relevant for your alignment.

So you didn’t actually need to ask these questions to clarify our motivations. So then why ask them? My current hypothesis is that you’re scum trying to look busy and as if you’re engaging and bothered by people suspecting you (which you would be regardless of your alignment, to be fair).

And this is because your engagement is superficial and hollow, as if you are trying to replicate what you would do as town but haven’t quite found that groove and are getting frustrated that it’s not working out.

I am prepared to be wrong, but those are my current thoughts.

I feel like we've played enough together to both understand that this is likely some sort of reaction test? I'm not sure on my end how to feel about your actions on your end however. Also with the other game we were in just ending... my theory that town!mastina doesn't last till end game is kinda blown.... or maybe that was just the exception to the rule.

S_S has been S_ esque so far, so he's not wrong to expect to be town read for his playstyle. Though the flavor feels different, but could be development/I never really understood how to read him in the first place which I believe as his opinion last I checked.

so we submit our choices for troops as soon as defcon 4 starts

troops are like PRs it seems. i think all else equal we'd like town to have these powers?

troops are unique. only 1 person can have each troop. there are more players than troops, so not everyone gets one.

if there's a conflict with drafts (i.e. two or more people want the same troop) than whoever submits the PM to the mod first gets it. lmao.

therefore, i propose we hammer into defcon 4 at some coordinated or agreed upon time in thread, to maximize the ability for townies to procure their desired troop. we have the advantage of numbers, scum have the advantage of coordination: we should try to even that playing field.

at the least, all townies should have the troop draft PM to the mod ready and waiting to go as soon as we enter defcon 4.

this is assuming i'm not misunderstanding something about the mechs. plz correct me if so.

Every game is different to me. I forget what 2181 was, is that basketball?

While every game is different to me, im sure I play the same alot too. It's hard to look at oneself, but let me give it a shot. I think alot of my playstyle scum or town depends on the player list and how people interact with me. That's prolly not a great way to play (waiting for people to interact with me) but it is what it is. I also interact with people I'm familiar with, even if they dont know who I am.

Also in games like this with lots of veterans, I can sometimes play more quietly until I'm provoked in some way, or if I spot something I'm sure is scum. Or perhaps in this case where someone is inviting me out of my shell.
