my role pm was exactly what flipped in thread, said I appear to investigates as a dog, I asked for clarification on cats/dogs but was told only to check the posted role PMs :/

You then asked if you were a VT and I told you to compare your PM to the sample VT pm if you were not sure if you were a VT.

If anyone who has played a bunch of mafia got your PM they would immediately think "I'm a miller" because that's clearly a miller PM. You didn't have that thought just because you're not as experienced with these things.

Yeah, I'm used to miller thinking they're VT and not even knowing they're miller, so I guess I could've looked more into it, oh well, saw no action, then didn't really care about my role, tbh thread probably would've gotten funny with me just claiming dog and thinking nothing of it

fwiw in the future generally it is considered optimal play to claim miller day 1 if you get it.

The funny part to me is that we reworded that PM because I was worried it wasn't obvious enough it was a miller.

Yeah originally the wording was "Being a werewolf subjects you to prejudice and the rest of the town is naturally suspicious of you."

This setup was inspired by pirates vs ninjas which was a setup run by Mr. Stoofer roughly 70000 years ago and it takes the same premise of 2 main scum factions and a third which is not hinted at by the flavor of the setup. Similarly the setup attempts to misdirect the players into thinking there are 2 scum factions without ever explicitly saying so

Nope. The rats are the only ones who know rats are in the game. Though they are a bit paranoid about lizards being a thing in their PT. Lizards are not a thing.
