also @ffery, another thing I think would improve the game a lot would be going from 14->10 or 8 day deadlines

personally I like 8 but 10 would be a significant improvement imo

I've been thinking about this, as well as the 14 day game days. These in some ways are remnants of past site meta, but I think they are also factors in this game's balance.

I thini the days could have been shorter

I understand your point abt the elegance of the setup, but to put it bluntly scumgames are just a lot more fun with daytalk, and coordinating a 3way qh without it is, uh, nontrivial

And i could have spent a lot less time tearing my hair out wondering what on earth everyone else was doing >.>

the upside of not having daytalk was that I legitimately didn’t know if mena was faking being angry with me or was actually angry and I wasn’t prepared for that, so all of my emotions there were genuine.

The part that stuck out to me most was you saying "I don't want to talk to you because you did something that offended me"

oh I think that was the next day, after we’d had a chance to discuss it? honestly I was struggling to figure out how to make any “reconciliation” look natural, so I thought it would be easier to stay mad and then I also wouldn’t have to interact with mena at all, so it was like killing two birds with one stone.

Nacho and I hydra'd in the 2013 run of this game (the first Sangres game!). We had 4 scum in our day 1 solve of that game, too. And were put at E-1 partway through day 1. Fortunately the one scum not already voting us was asleep when it happened, and we were able to talk our way out of that wagon before he was online again.
