My sense is that a push you didn't like on you would lead to the sort of engagement you are describing. If I'm scum and you are town I would rather you stay unengaged, obviously.

Pedit: I really do need to sleep now and I said what I wanted to, if I wanted to start a wagon now I would have said so so we can move on
