It's based on a literal reading of the post, when it makes no sense for Flea as any alignment to mean that at face value, and it makes perfect sense for it to be a turn of phrase that was misinterpreted.

Sometimes I just see you troubleshooting and I'm not sure if you're picking your battles with laser precision. Which is where the idea of you copying your town playstyle comes from.
It's one of those, "is he serious, or is he just asking questions that are a little less focused and seemingly less constructive than I might expect?"

Like I don't understand the scum thought process that would lead faer to want to say something like that in the first place. Especially since the sentence (taken at face value) is hard enough to parse that it would have required some thought to compose.

Freudian slips aren't a thing, and as for Flea's post, fae was making a statement based off of the phrase "towniest town", and saying Sigmund was not the towniest town, which is not the same thing as saying Sigmund was not the towniest but he is town, and instead makes more sense to me to be read as a simple negation of the claim that Sigmund was "towniest town."

all that said, dislike of those semantic slips aside, i agree Flea is a good vote.

I stayed up to 2 am instead of sleeping a couple nights ago putting it together and poring through isos to find stated and implicit reads.

It's kind of the opposite of doing something besides be in the game thread.

Flea is not a "careful player"

Flea plays emotionally and more or less off the cuff.

In fact there was a large theme game where Flea claimed to have gone to a room that did not exist on the ship.

That "Slip" broke the game open and ended up resulting in a lolstomp townwin.

Bell and Shea should be familiar with this incident.

For it to be a slip, Flea would have to come up with an idea of what to say, and then say that thing without realizing that it revealed extra information.

If it was meant at face value, the thing Flea would be trying to say was "you are not the towniest town player in this game." Why would fae come up with that rather than "you are not the towniest player in this game"? Why exclude scum players specifically?

And, I'm struggling to remember any time when a actually scum TMI slipped another player as town, but I've seen plenty of accusations of it. So even just statistically it's unlikely.

I'm arguing against townreads on you, but that's not the same thing. I don't think you deserve to be townread for your playstyle because I feel like it's an alt persona and not selected specifically for this game. How accurate would you say that is?
