I'm not liking Shiro's take. Lie detector doesn't make much sense as a scum role besides for power role hunting, but the chances of a claim being worth detecting is low. I guess you could use it as we did, as scum, to try to find the other scum but it's very weak compared to a cop which we've already seen from scum.
What I can believe more is Shiro thinks the claim is a gambit. But I don't think it makes any sense to think it's a scum role with what we've seen so far.

I'm assuming that dog mafia is bigger because cat mafia got a PR and there are way more flipped anti-dog roles than anti-cat roles.

Mm, no. If you're looking for mafia, you won't find it here. You're not wrong I have been doing less and being less present, that's RL-related as well as just being overcautious in general. But I'm not a cat, I hate cats, and I'm not a dog either. If I need to actually explain why I'm being overcautious, I can but it is probably in town's benefit if I don't really do that. Talking about flavour isn't a problem.

Like, for a dog if we townbin someone who is a cat for mechanics reasons, the win percentage of the cat is almost zero

For a townie, if we townbin someone for mechanics reasons but that person -could- be scum actually, they could just also be town for different reasons and we still win

I guess town binning a dog is also a loss
