A million years ago (a.k.a. yesterday) Datisi asked me why Gamma is town and honestly it's just on the strength of his early A50 push, not that I thought it was necessarily a strong case but the way he went about it struck me as town-motivated. In general I get the sense that he thinks his posts

make sense and doesn't feel a need to explain them or himself, which I don't expect from scum because scum don't just expect to be believed by default

Searched my name to see if anyone asked me anything and found this.

PP's 575 "God I hate hydras" is not the sort of sentiment I think is likely to be fabricated (if I were looking for lies-I-can-tell-to-look-town that would just never occur to me) so it has to be taken as genuine. Penguin is expressing real frustration there with the reminder that Tigerente is a hydra and doesn't just have a single mindset to try and understand. Note this post comes right after Tigerente's 574 saying, in part, "and r.e. our vote: i wanted to move our vote off of dwlee, bork wanted to vote there, and out of hte people i'm not townreading they seem like a decent vote so i'm cool with it too"

The only reason for Penguin to feel frustrated here is because

Tigerente is hard for him to read.

If he's not actually trying to read Tigerente (because he's scum and already knows her alignment) he would have no reason to get frustrated and no reason to post that addendum.

kerset got way more traction than cakes ever did. no one even really gave much credence to my case on cakes which I’m still inclined to believe makes cakes more likely to be scum.

thoughts on kerset’s recent posting?

yeah so htat makes me lean towards the 'scum-cakez in a weaker scumteam' side, and less on the 'town-cakez' side
kerset's posting is kinda meh
but would expect him to care more / be more nervous upon being run up as scum, and he isn't erally

@skitter (and datisi) I honestly don’t know what it is. maybe partly it’s that I’m feeling frustrated that it seems like no one really took my cakes read seriously (out of the people I’m townreading at least), even though I felt like cakes never came up with a satisfactory response or made any particularly towny posts imo. I feel slightly better about it now but idk. I guess it’s somewhat on me for not being aggressive about engaging with people who disagreed but I also don’t really want to be aggressive as a playstyle anymore

I think skitter is +town for moving momentum away from the kerset wagon her slot started. unless the team is exactly cakes/kerset/tiger then she has no motivation to vote kerset as a counterwagon to cakes and then step off the gas when everyone seems to be joining

i mean that was kinda the point, the goal was to shake things up a bit and see what happened and take it from there, not to push kerset to a flip

i don't mind kerset's posting since he came back honestly

sircakez i'm incredibly conflicted on, at first glance his posts today seem gross but like a few things are making me question it (namely: he seems to think that the game has stagnated on dueling cakez/kerset since sunday, when i imagine if he were scum he would know he was the leading wagon for most of that time until last night when i pushed kerset. i'm also not sure if he thinks to question me wk'ing him as scum)
but like surface-level i really dislike his posts

also i'm actively scumreading gamma and i think cakez/gamma is very viable

I wanted to powerlim cakez because I felt like his reaction to the lilith tell was very scummy. Specifically, he came up with multiple possible explanations/excuses instead of the more natural "idk what you want me to say I didn't start the game paranoid of you"

But his frustration with being scimread in the past couple pages has felt pretty genuine.

I have a soulread on gamma this game do not touch him.
