That's their whole play. That's why I asked House when he started townreading Cyrus. His response didn't fill me with enthusiasm. Cyrus's reply on why he's townreading House doesn't either.

Basically, the only play here for either of them is to promote each other to the highest reads in the PoE. Then one of them would die but so would not mafia. If not mafia lives and targets town both nights, then their miselimination efforts still fail because there would be too many conftown to survive in.

It's not organic. House just completely stops the push to change directions to push some nonsense about how I'm scum because I assumed there was an investigative role in the game. He doesn't get reactions from half the thread and doesn't wait to actually generate discussion on cyrus before outing the alleged guilty.
