Yeah I said earlier that I really wish I had just gone with something else instead of aliens for the red herring cop. Like I said, I thought I was giving a clue to maybe third team but I think it actually just ended up confusing people too much for what I wanted it to do.

We shoulda made it a fish cop. It gets a guilty result on red herrings.

Yeah I didn't understand that at all. What kind of mod would give you safe claims and then if you use them that tells the other scum who you are? You weren't the only team to have that fear and legitimately i don't understand it at all. Any mod who did that should not be allowed to run a game ever again.

I’ve played in a game in one of my older forum sites where town had an spy in our scum PT and we were expected to use code names in there but we didn’t know.
So yeah, always expect the worst and never trust the hosts i guess.

i assumed that the animal fakeclaims provided just ensured we wouldn't fakeclaim the same character as someone's real role, and not necessarily that there were none of the same type of animal in the game.

yes but duplicates made it less likely by far that it was a fakeclaim since I assumed all scum teams had the same type of fake claim.
