as soon as bugspray flipped all of your potions exploded in a horrible vortex of destruction but then magically rematerialized into the same set of potions that they were before. you both survive with minor cuts and bruises that will not be noticed by other players

ok here's what i'm thinking if we go with the above. i down the charisma and the neutralize potion tonight and block whoever looks the most like a pr (tris?). you down the drink more, then two pain, and murder somebody. that way, we would be left with damage/roleblock for you and damage/damage for me. then we see what happens tomorrow, i.e. who takes damage from my charisma, and see if we can murder multiple people and avoid yelo altogether. now obviously this makes the game kinda go to shit if you step on a watcher so if you have any better ideas for this i am listening

That seems good to me, the plan in my head right now would be I go all out on damage night 1 with drink more and attack someone to kill, you can do charisma if you want along with neutralizing someone

I do not think schadd would make an item with the purpose of it being to trap us, that would be cruel and bad design. I think it's more like a challenge to us to see if we can come up with a creative way of implementing it. Right now I can think of four different angles you can take with regard to the potion's effect:

1. Trust Me, I have A Plan: you took the potion knowing what its effect would do, your hope was to use it as an effective vig shot combined with some other damage source. Might be a tough one to convince people of but if you're trusted enough you can play the "I wouldn't need to do this as scum" card.

2. I Have No Idea What Caused This: claim the effect wasn't from any potion you used, that it was done to you by a ~mysterious other party~. Lets people speculate on who could have done such a thing, but also has the issue of people asking why you in particular would be targeted with this.

3. I Messed Up: claim you misunderstood the effects of the potion when you took it and thought it would do something else, and wouldn't have done it if you realized it would do this. I have no idea

how

you'd be able to come up with a convincing lie for this, but acting like you made a mistake would look really town, I think.

4. I Didn't Know This Would Happen: you took the potion but the description didn't tell you it would do this. Maybe it was vague and you YOLO'd it, maybe it had some other beneficial effect and this was just an Unknown Side Effect. This doesn't have much in the way of holes but people might be skeptical, it's entirely dependent on your ability to sell it.


Those are my ideas for how you can explain it, anyway

Should ask schadd exactly what the town gets told when the potion is used, so it's clear.

[player] has Increased Charisma for this day phase; any player who disagrees with a statement they make while will take 1 HP of damage once the day is over. to "disagree" in this case is to speak in opposition to a claim that [player] has made, while obviously addressing the statement to them (determined at mod discretion). each player may take one damage at most.

this is what would get revealed... potentially i could claim that the potion had some other Good Thing that i did and this was just an Unintended Side Effect. i have no idea what possibly to claim as that Good Thing though. especially with s_s in town ugh... i wanna kill s_ s but leave mena alive, can we do that by making them take 1 hp of damage lol

i don't think 3 or 4 are like, viable options. people know that i'm a person who would bug schadd until i understood what the potion did, so saying "lol idk i didn't understand the description" would get me turboyeeted.

the "lol idk what did this" is an interesting avenue, maybe i could claim that scum saw i'm loud in discussion and wanted to limit my ability to discuss with people lmfao

i'm wondering now if me taking this potion will overall lower my influence over dayplay tomorrow since people will be less likely to interact with me but ehhh

i was planning on going the "world's shittiest vig" route. that would explain why i was trying to be townread, and there actually is precedent for me getting an Extremely Shitty Role that Requires People To Trust Me, trying really hard to get townread, being a panicked mess, and ending up drawing every single town investigative onto myself lmfao fuck that game anyway where was i

you having the drink more + 2 damage and me having the charisma + block tonight is fine. i'm just wondering how we should give out the rest, i.e. which one of us should be left with damage/block and which one of us should be left with damage/damage. and uhhh... i cannot figure out any reasoning for why one would be better than the other.

do you think it's worth blocking someone tonight when we have no claims, as opposed to saving two blocks for tomorrow and dealing extra damage tonight? but then we don't know who will be hit by the charisma... and also the watchers. ugh. mech play difficult why did i join a theme lmfao

like. i don't wanna go skitter or menalque. (1) because i am actually having some sorta fun playing with them here (and i feel like a mena kill looks awful for me at this moment since he started getting paranoid of me at the end of d1 and i didn't have time before the lock to change his mind and aaaaaaAAAA) and (2) i feel like they are watcher bait. the rest are {tris, pob, t3, toog} and like.... they all feel misyeetable???? something something don't kill in the poe?????

if you think we shouldn't be getting fancy and should just kill Loud Town Voices, i can be talked into that. but i'm also scared of a watcher because i don't think i can carry this myself, especially not without a proper nightkill.

optonally... do we not lethally damage anyone? like, do 1 hp of damage on like idk t3/tris and hope they get hit with the charisma and die at the end of day 2???? and we can then always finish the job the next night?? but this is risky since if they *don't* die from charisma, we're effectively shooting in the poe
