yep. It isnt pro town at all. You can out PR's and Vt's arent self confirmable so there is no point in claiming VT f1 as town cuz its smth scum can do aswell

the gist of my thinking is that while mafia can do it, they have no incentive to (especially in a site where it doesn't have any, or even negative benefit, which makes them more town than i thought)
it also fits in with their experimental newbie narrative which i have a positive bias for, since i'm doing the same but in more Subtle ways

yeah the action is pretty anti-town i def agree with you on that but i have to get something out of every weird thing you guys post, and what i got from there was a town-like perspective on an otherwise bad thing to do
i trust james that they were just planning to do this on their forth game or whatever if they rolled town, not just as VT

my 2 cents on james (sorry grandpa), i was getting somewhat awkward/forced vibes from his early posting before the claim. my initial reaction to 40 was that i can see scum motivation behind it, specifically the "if I redact it later[...] feel free to hammer me" bit, but aside from it just being a particularly distracting shitpost, i cant find a reason for town to post this seriously. with 104 tho i'm thinking it could be townfuckery that's drawing my suspicion. i stand by the forced feel i was getting early on, but call him a light scumlean for me for now.

i dont understand how he could feel so strongly about this. post 40 is a pretty significant post as far as the first two pages go, and this strikes me as an overreaction. tstbs is a perfectly fair early conclusion from that one post imo.
