For Day 1, it was just the vibe I was getting, but let's be honest here. Day 2 you activated your potion but have had next to no ambition to actually enforce it, which further proves you aren't trying to ruffle feathers. You aren't even trying to get a scum read to disagree with you.

yeah, i do not strongarm games on my own. doubly not when i blundered a read on day one, and especially not with a potion like this, where i'm quite literally dependent on the rest of the town's cooperation if i want it to actually be a +town mechanic. why would i be trying to get a scumread to disagree with me, when just one damage does not do the job, and all it does is opens more opportunities for the rest of the players to trip on it?

I feel like this is probably a faulty assumption? The OP says scum have some kind of factional information, and given the fact that scum probably cannot true claim their potions, I'd imagine they might be given safe claims to make, because otherwise town can just confirm each other if there's similar potions between their inventories. Like, that is the thing that actively makes more sense to me as the reason for an early claim from him.

A) i feel like the fact that toog is hyper aware of what scum's abilities are is +scum
B) so you think wcum were told there was a 'gulp' potion and decided to claim it pre-emptively? I kinda think it makes more sense that scum had a damage potion and upon seeing town claim it they claim it too >.>

I'm talking about the aggressive tonality and half-baked reasoning from pob, the push there feels similar to here. I guess the confounding factor is that since it was multiball we're not sure if his push was sincere or not, buut I also looked at his towngame and this one feels a lot closer to his play as SK than as town.

And as for T3, I dunno, he's a newbie and most newbies don't pull the self-sacrifice gambit, in my experience. That's especially true here because no factional kill etc etc

a) i don't think ti's out of toog's range, especially after seeing people give t3 towncred for doing the same thing
b) i think there's scum in the damage claims
c) i feel like they've been rather scummy outside of the self-vote. like you seem to think i'm just pushing him because of the damage potion, but that's incorrect. i dont 'think they're townie, and i dont' really follow their reads (why is rr locktown for having a similar potion to them? why is dats scum now?) - lke the thing they're posting don't make too much sense to me either (and i also don't like that i haven't really gotten clear answers out of them when i'm trying to understand their thought process)

I probably should have responded to this first, I guess, just couldn't resist reading backwards. IDK that he seemes "hyper-aware" here? And I would've thought scum would have been a bit more reticent to claim a damaging, I would expect them to want to claim something that sounds not explicitly antitown. I think the whole gimmickry of pob is making me paranoid because I think people see the typing style and assume he's an idiot who obviously wouldn't think to fake his claim but I'm pretty sure he's not dumb and is clever enough to fake it, and I don't find the bluster here townie as I've already said.

did you remember either of these thigns offhand? i certainly didn't, and i've read the op a few times now, and i bet that most townies didn't either (in fact from reactions to toog saying this, i know a lot of people didn't). scum, however, would be incredibly aware of both of these facts as this is the reality of the game for them thus far: they had to make a conscioius choice as to how they'd have distributed the potions, and they know perfectly well they didn't kill anyone last night
townies honestly don't have any reason to remember this, because why would they? so far the game hasn't really gone *taht much differently* than a normal game, despite things being sort of different on the scum end. literally nobody even remembered about the lack of a factional nk until toog brought it up

You do realize I originally fucked up the scum potion distribution thing, right? My original interpretation was that scum got new potions daily if you go back and reread my iso. Retro's reaction made me go back and reread it because I was going to post it for them.
