i don't "think" that, i just acknowledge it's a (at the moment unlikely) possibility. and no fucking clue. that would mean this town is full of deepwolves, so it's not something i want to think about on day one.

As I'm reading over your posts that give me the heebies, I'm getting a vibe that it's *too* natural. That is, where most mess up and rewrite one or two words, you seem to have gone over full sentences multiple times. Honestly I treat this as a "I need to watch you" as it's not a consistent tell.
Going back to Nakata, the point I was reflecting on was that was why their credibility to me had tanked, and why I was starting to SR them. He exaggerates quite a bit and it's almost openwolf levels that I've seen reading up.

i'm rereading the intro text, and while it does say that we're here for major crimes, and that a "good amount" (whatever that means) are wrongfully convicted, we haven't yet had confirmation that criminals are actually the scumteam, no?

i know i have to get to things that have been asked of me, but man, am i not feeling it. i did notice that robert seems to be more active once again after receiving votes, and that his read of me is still surface-level handwave-y bullshit, but i guess that's the world we're living in.

pedit: that's fair. i don't have much to respond other than "that's my way of speaking", but i hope we'll be able to see past our playstyle clashes as the game goes on.

I'm actually more suspicious of the players defending me, because it's blatantly obvious that I won't survive into the night to use my power, and it's very safe for them to say I'm town when they know I'm town.

I feel shitting scum reading the only players that read me correctly, so I'm very conflicted.

Anyway, if I could be a ghost after I get eliminated, that's where I'd look. The players that defended me.

Objectively there are no reasons to town read me that hold water.

But then, the reasons to scum read me seem very opportunistic. Why are players hung up scum-reading me into page 25 or so, because they pretend to be baffled that I didn't know that Datisi = Tanner? They are hanging on to this notion because they know I'm the easy player to eliminate because I work all day long and don't have the leisure to play all day and defend myself immediately, so that false accusations simmer.

There's no conflict between being perceived as a threat and being an easy elimination.

You are being disingenuous when you pretend not to understand that I meant to say that there will be scum in both people that defend me or vote forme.

Here's a read, clidd is scum who refuses to give up on an easy elimination that looks like it could come to fruition soon.

This stretch of posts by Robert reflects as particularly good to me. Something about attacking his defenders and in his mind sealing his fate comes off as towny to me and is a thought i have pretty often as town in that scenario actually.

However, i will grant you that Robert's scumhunting usually seems to be accusing or disagreeing with whoever the biggest wagon at the time is (828, 860, 1188 for example), or being like "Scum are killing meee" (1190, 724) which doesnt come across as very deep thinking

There is also clidd's point earlier this game where Robert illogically attacks Tanner out of the gate even though Tanner had townleaned him prior. Yeah scum makes mistakes though

i think if clidd is giving scum a pass for playing suboptimally this game, it's probably for Ircher

I've done this as all alignments. I'm confident robert does the same. My issues is the level of AtE and shallowness of it.

In my heart I feel that Tanner saw me as an easy elimination, he is furious that some players are town-reading me and he irrationally digging his heels in that position.

In light of that, I'd have to say wolf - but he could just be very stubborn and prideful as a player.

Which is why we engage, ask follow ups and push this.

Another metric would be to parity cop check them using the questions with Yin. Is X aligned with Y, Y aligned with Z, Z aligned with X.

We have enough questions to be able to do this and the other thing I suggested if people are willing to humour me. Then combine that with reads and make an elimination. From there we know how truthful our NPCs are, and I will have a better idea mechanically.

Amusingly neither of you or tweetie commented on my Chara tinfoil.

okay, so i ctrl+f'ed both "satoru" and "nakata" in your iso, ydrasse, and the only thing i see is that you think it's scummy that he was willing to vote robert for "he's scummy, might as well flip him now" without going in-depth to solve him, and he approached infinity with "i don't wanna vote her today, she'll be readable later on". is that right? like, if there's more to it, give me the tl;dr (i would ask you to redo the case, but i feel bad asking, idk, would still appreciate it), but like... i guess i just don't find this to be worthy of killing someone over right now?

Yin and Yang are somehow core to this setup, the games subtitle is those two. Rather than write off what they're saying, why not try and work out what they're saying?

i guess it’s like, idk, i want to win a Lot as i often do and how i see it now is that we have this information that doesn’t mean anything now to us but it might later, or it could be a red herring, or there are so many plot twists that i am unable to predict that like... i personally don’t want to engage with the mechanic until i know that it’s helpful? i don’t get mad when i see people engaging with something i know is fun and i’m not going to /ask/ people to stop engaging with it but just me as a player right now think that it’s not helping, or maybe just not helping me

there probably is some other way i could be thinking about it like “is this person using mechanic as cover or do they genuinely believe they are asking things and getting real info” idk. i’m really cranky right now which doesn’t help my mindset of “NO FUN ONLY PLAY MAFIA” that also keeps me from like... thinking of anything i could ask that’s useful that hasn’t already.
