I’m just going to reiterate my opinion of lurkers right now. If you have someone lurking, pressure them. There’s no reason to vote them out unless there’s pressure to get them to contribute more and have not done so.

I had a look through the bracketed 4 in more depth.
Mo hasn't voted for the longest duration, which is weird but the game is slow I guess, I don't think he's scum here.
cowsloveSushirolls is being sporadic, it is really hard to tell if it scummy or townie for me.
The Bulge is a lurker/coaster. Along with the not voting and reasoning I think there's a good chance he's scum.
StrangeMatter is scum, they've had 160 odd posts and haven't even contributed a read yet, weird. They comment on their opinions of Lurkers whilst lurking/coasting, without giving names or being cued. I'll tell you why this is scummy. This is kind of the opposite of bussing. With bussing you want to get your own scum member pressured, and you want to seem as town like by being the main person pushing the wagon. In this case, they don't want to name any actual lurker, so when a town flips, they weren't pushing the wagon and would garner no suspicion.

I'm confident the 2 scum are in [T3, The Bulge, Looker].
It's unfortunate StrangeMatter got replaced when I noticed this, so I'm not going to push Looker too hard as they can't explain everything behind a predecesor. I'm not hammering anyone outside of these 3 D1.

this game has been REEALLY slow compared ot any newbie game i have played. multiple replacements including the person i scumread.

i'm sure they can, but i guess it's the same reason i attribute anti-town actions to town: scum has no incentive to do them if there's way more effective ways of carrying out something

Scum do infact have an incentive to be "anti-town" so ppl can just go them calling "omg they're tstbs"(which is basically what you're doing rn)

i don't think people saying that is as common as you think, if i remember correctly 2 people have been against using those sort of reads (you and bulge) which means we are evenly matched. i don't think this is actually the case and there's a lot more people that don't use TBTBS than do

sure the lurking part of VFP's play is likely to be excused by newbies, but the general reaction of a newbie i'd think when subjected to their again, kinda vague cases would be frustration and also puzzlement
so, why deliberately try it, when they haven't played like this before (presumably)?

My understanding is that TSTBS is based around an understanding of site meta or a person's meta (what does this person / do people on this site like to do as scum? was their scummy action too blatant or done with a lack of self awareness?).
Now that I have that down, I realize that yes, i do suck at using TSTBS.
For humor's sake and to salvage a bit of my dignity, I'll say that your application of the term is less valid than mine because it's based on the difference between their towniest and scummiest logs only, and do something completely different.
