I opened this game commenting on Flubber. In post 910, Vulture wrote:So let’s assume for a moment that I am scum doing this vote.
The motivation is that I am trying to get Flubber hammered early, yes? I want people to go for it, and barring anyone lolhammering for the sake of it I have to justify why to the audience of non-voters.
My very first post was attacking Flubber. This works with the above, making Flubber out to be bad.
My question then becomes: “When does Titus’s critical thinking kick in, reading what follows?” However, I actually think Titus didn’t use it and just went off vote counts because she thinks they’re a Bible that will gamesolve for her without effort.
If I am trying to sell Flubber as a good elim in this vote and I presumably have set up, even if it’s a small degree given early game, why do I not bring up my scumread on him until after I was asked and just go “meh, let’s see what happens?” in 154 when 158 is something I can post with the vote instead to make it look even marginally better? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯- Datisi

I hate if I was scum, why wouldn't I do X arguments? It's a question that's really a way for people to defend themselves without actually being townie. It’s an attempt to get you to use more than two braincells on my motivations as scum v town and why the scum ones don’t hold weight. i mean... how is that opportunistic is my question? i definitely dislike early y-1's but i dislike them for different reasons (opens up room for ballsy scum to hammer early - nothing to do with the person doing the y-1 vote). what does scum!vulture except there to happen? that someone will just run with the vote and decide to hammer flubber on page <10?In post 924, Titus wrote:It's opportunistic. 615 is a nothing post
620 is a nothing post
628 is a LOT of words to say "Read list was shortned, can elaborate on anything you ask me about"
726 is part of the "feels more like a conversation in abstraction" I mentioned before
And partly feels like something I have seen 1 other newbie scum do (grandpamo, in aliensitter) where they made their points really extra long winded to get people to kinda glaze over and skim past it.I have a GTKAS now! - Come ask me questions!

It's opportunistic because the main, if not only, thing Vulture had done is promote the Flubber wagon. Either a) he hoped it would go through and it's a rush or b) he knew it wouldn't and he was safe. Either way, scum Vulture keeps the attention on Flubber and off solving the game.In post 934, Datisi wrote:

I started with them being scummy, but chaos was my preferred vote.
Then, it got to the point where it was about equal.
Then, I saw the vulture counter wagon pop up from no where, and making sure one of my top scum reads was a viable wagon was enough to push my vote overI have a GTKAS now! - Come ask me questions!

I'm going to work and hopefully return to a pleasant/diplomatic state. I know Titus asked about my Vulture TR, tl;dr they do this stupid fucking deadweight act every game and live to take shots & feel superior when someone actually plays the game and pushes them for it. Horrendous fucking play and maybe they're worth a policy but I think they're town.- Titus

You and Vulture both did that. I probably have done it before. I hate it because it usually generates unreadable content, but it's usually NAI. The only time it works is when the reason is so fucking obvious to everyone. In post 937, Lukewarm wrote:

This is why I said don’t meta me.In post 911, Vulture wrote:Maybe there’s more to it in the Titus and Math back and forth that I have chosen not to read because it feels like it’s insular and beneficial to only them, but man, not like I have too much faith in any read that generates from there anyways.
You can literally build a case that I do almost anything as scum. Some games I manipulate people socially like Boonskiies and Calculasia. Some games I just lurk (well lurk by my standards) like in Werewolf is Mafia. Others I am town leader like Gistou.
You can literally build a case that I do almost anything as town. I manipulate people 992 are you my partner.
Vibe with people and use that in seemingly a scummy way to defend a town read: Charge Me Up
Town leader: Raw Unfiltered UPick
If you have an opinion one way or another about me, you can and will succeed in making a meta case about it because I work damn hard in making sure that I don’t have trust tells so you have to read me in the game we are in.
It’s why I never engaged in T3’s incorrect meta here. I am not a “lurk/passive” unless I think it benefits my alignment. T3’s perception still helps them to read me so I just let it go.
This on the other hand doesn’t look like an attempt to read but an attempt to shade. Yes I buddied Titus hard in that game. There’s also Warehouse 13 where I reached out to her so hard about SirCakez it frustrated me to no end. SirCakez is one of the few players I “just get”.
If you’re going to go down a meta case you have to at least follow it up here.
And if you think I did what I did with Titus JUST for Titus you’re sorely mistaken. There are some things that are just too anti town to say so I have to avoid answering the question. So I always try to answer it as best I can to the person who asks.ScumBlade's eloquent performance left me utterly disoriented, debased, depraved and sent me spiraling into a horrific murky abyss with emotional turmoil and immense despair as my only companions until slowly I suffocate in my own gloom, surrounded by failure. Titus is 100% not worth a policy this game. And yeah she pokes at things that she doesn’t agree with but that’s what literally everyone does. She’s just blunt about it.
