I roughly don't agree with their opinions on sleez and Manatee, not in the reads sense, but how you approached the Manatee wagon as narrated by Lukewarm is a possible example of letting a miselim happen while giving lip service in defense there.

Sure? The only partner I have this game is FF. So it's not like I have anything against blind eliminating and hoping for the best.
But I'm still sorting and I don't really think that's going to get exhausted anytime soon. So I'm not in a rush either.

No, I don't have them that high in my reads

I already asked Dunnstrall if they were scum.

I have two issues:
1. Shard handing out when we were possibly in auto-lose if the game wasn't adjusted.
2. I feel like their Titus read should be the exact opposite of the conclusion they reached. What's to stop Titus from lying about their ability or for them to be scum wanting an extra shard or somethin.

Conventional wisdom says that using that mechanic once shouldn't have resulted in an unwinnable situation for town, and that there would instead be a line between using it too much and losing, or not using it enough and potentially missing out on some upgraded town power.

Now even though it got changed to 9, I'm more wary about using it. I think we should hold off for a day and see what happens.

There's nothing to stop Titus from lying, that's just how I interpreted it.

I didn't know they were close to winning automatically either, but clearly Bork disagreed, so I'm thinking about how much I should be weighing that in terms of what scum are thinking and how much they know versus how much they don't and how that weighed into their play.
Part of me speculates that the scum team game broke and Bork nudged the finish line back when they did. But I don't know, I'm not in a scum PT. *shrug*

Caught up, not much else really caught my attention, I feel like there's a ton of Lukewarm content that should make me feel things but I feel nothing about him and should probably ISOdive him to form an opinion there.

I feel really good about Manatee's reaction to the pressure she received after her reads list, 664 and 680 feel genuine and reinforce to me that scum!Manatee has no reason to post such an off-the-cuff, haphazard reads list like that. I also liked her string of airport responses.

I told myself I would stop at 9 PM and it's after 11 PM so I better get overtime compensation in the form of locktown reads

Also Cabd/PA please don't let me wake up to some unexpected color-coded case against me tomorrow that would be kinda bothersome!

Scum HAD an alternate wincondition of 7 2-sharded players alive or dead, right?

If knowledge that we started 2-sharded was out, and town played to shard players... and scum shot us early, they could use their not-nightkill method to shard players OTHER than the sharded one that had crumbed or expressed interest in getting sharded from the town mechanic to likely get to 5 (assuming one 2-sharded scum demon in play, which is likely) by the start of day two. You don't see how that's absolutely fucking horrifying?

Oh right, we never mentioned that we feel due to Xenoblade II that scum likely have some sort of super conditional vig. Our working theory is a oneshot vig that only works on demons. The above math applies this asusmption.

To elaborate on this, I'm assuming there's a way scum can get a kill off while still using their factional shard-scatter power once. That actually amplifies with a nine-demon wincon, as gaining seven demons in a mini is likely to be harder, which means they need some way to keep the game manageable in the meantime if going for that wincon. Which is unlikely to be a complete red herring.

This also feels like a good time to note that contrary to some expressed fears in the thread, I'm unlikely to get especially emotional going forward. You're welcome.

Medea, can you guys simplify why you being a demon means scum can get to 7 in a way that is too fast?

They can send 2 shards instead of their night kill, and there are possibly roles that start with 1 shard or send out 1 shard. Is there anything else?
