I'm rereading right now because I couldn't remember exactly who was doing it but I remembered a lot of excuses around it. I'm on page 32 (note im skimming bc its a lot) and the main culprit I've seen is manatee.

Titus didn't believe it was legitimate and tried to call it as a bluff but then retracted it after seeing Niamh's post, and that felt like a really awkward series of events. Like, I struggle to understand why that is a tactic from scum LLD who does just fine posting in a variety of ways.

I'm still taking notes and will draft up my conclusions in a bit, but that's kinda where my head is at now.

Like, this is going to sound weird but I found myself townreading LLD more when she was scum in games because of the things she was saying like tonally. But there's no real tone here, and I feel like there's decent solving coming from her.

Does that make sense?

Rereading this section, you're tarring me with the "AtE AtE AtE" brush but most of my interactions and commentary about them have nothing to do with AtE. I snarked back at Cabd's 2 posts, and moved on. It's a sore point for Bell, and he's not going to move on until they've produced more content.

Is that feeling mutual? I'm asking because I don't know where you become comfortable. My impression is that you're not and it impedes you. I think this is merely because you're not town but surely you have a right to defend yourself.

I do feel as though I'm going to have trouble meshing with your playstyle as well, yes, but I'm not allowing that to become a scumread at this time as it seems like a style issue. You're brusque and I have some trouble tracking your thought processes.

I don't feel uncomfortable. uncertainty is something I live with (being assured is at baseline a scumtell for me, but i know that most players in this game are aware of that, so if i were scum i would probably manufacture uncertainty anyway). I can see why it would come off as scummy to someone who isn't used to me, that's a common experience when i venture outside playing with people who know me.

At first, I thought you were an alt of someone who knows the players in this game, but it's increasingly seeming like that isn't the case, so I'm still figuring out what your deal is.

You speak on your uncertainty so could you at least tell me what you're so uncertain about? Unless you mean it instinctively comes from yourself and that's how I should be reading it.

I've reread up to the point where the alternate wincon change was announced.

Got pissed off all over again at medea, and calmed down all over again, too.

Found a few things from sleez that hit me a little differently knowing it's unwnd, but I don't know if it's significant, how he was approaching the shards earlier.

And rereading and trying to focus more on lukewarm, I want a lot of reasoning from medea regarding how their lukewarm read here bears similar weight to their bell read in the smokefilled game.

Because I'm not seeing it.

@notty I think the lack of tone that you mentioned is the main culprit for many players' non-reads of LLD, and while I agree she has been providing content and was responsive to my questions from my brief interaction with I don't think it's out of the ordinary to not really have a read on her given her way of communicating involves less words and for me at least less words=less content=harder to read.

But do your thing I am like the last one who wants to stifle more discussion but I struggle to see what will be accomplished from your endeavor.

What are your thoughts on Pooky? I voted him briefly but felt the vote would be useless because it wouldn't gain traction and he would probably just say something sassy and ignore it (I was right!). He has done a 180 on his initial (troll?) scum read on Medea but is still voting them. From what I can tell he's reading me so I'm not sure why he wouldn't join the wagon, but at the very least I don't like that his vote is on one of his claimed town reads.

I've never been the expert reading pooky, but my two biggest things I was going off of was the parallels in my personal reaction to his early posting to Tarot, where he was town, and was sitting on that for a solid bit. I followed that up with 811 and that felt like a pretty solid take at the time.

I'm not super sure where his head's at right now though. I have been kinda chewing on the interactions with Medea, I feel like I would have felt worse if he automatically jumped because Medea said to jump? And he did mention he's waiting to sheep.

As is I feel like his only two expressed reads thus far are town on both LLD/Medea. Iirc unwnd mentioned something about his play here matching tenet? But I wasnt ever on the same side as pooky until like the final day? (Iirc we were both day 1 stiles) so I didn't really get to experience it first hand. @unwnd can you weigh in?

Actually one of my hang ups in fully scum reading Pooky here is that he DOESN'T feel like he did in Tenet so far. In Tenet he had a strong (albeit brief) entrance of actual content (crazy I know) followed by absolutely nothing until being turnstiled to the other thread, where he again upped the content to secure the mislim on Flavor Leaf. I haven't even like any glimmers trying in this game which makes me think he doesn't have anything to be worried about?

And on that note, assuming I'm characterizing Pooky's play in Tenet correctly, I'm curious as to why Medea is so perturbed that he hasn't done much so far. Like I get it's not ideal but is that really all that scummy for Pooky this early on?

Now, one might take this to mean that I should reassure her that you're scum, but actually she's working so hard this game that I genuinely doubt her reads are going to be worse than mine.I find the opposite a lot more likely.
