If Annie wanted to be a demon (implying our theory on scum self-sharding is true), then there would be no need to get shards. Shard voting is the balance for scum having their own.

I don't have this theory though. @_@.
I have possible explanations.
We know that unless scum has additional abilities not categorized under a night action that they can't hand out shards and kill in the same night.

Rhea initially assumed that Medea tried to kill them at night and that, *that* was why there was no kill that night.
I pointed out the assumption she was making that the scum didn't hand out shards instead. Or at least I thought she was making that assumption.

I do not see a reason to half-ass a shard. Either we want a powered up town demon or we don't. There should not be a middle ground. Because it just gives scum control over who is and isn't demonified based on their abilities.
This makes sense right?

- Scum can probably self-distribute shards. They chose to do this last night. Does this imply that they self-distributed and opted to not kill? I don't believe so.
- Medea claimed a demon on D1. I am running on a theory (perhaps others) that there was 1 town demon and 1 scum demon present on D1.
- If scum could self-distribute and make them all demons by D2 then based on the original wincon they could win by like D3. I believe the original count was something like 6 or 7. They coiuld be halfway to their goal.
- We're at medium now, this means more than 2. We can lowball it as 3 and imply one of the scum converted to a demon. Nobody has outright claimed they're a demon right now.

We're processing a lot of different claims and information right now.

My point was that his viewpoint that scum would start with a demon, means that medea is scum given we were at

Right now I'm thinking that the reason Medea did not get a counterclaim is because scum had no incentive to claim

It looks like a factional ability to me, given the way it's worded.

I suppose it's not impossible that scum also have a non-factional shard distributor ability, but that seems pretty broken, even with the alternate wincon modification that happened.
