I have started as a human and turned into a demon after receiving two shards on night 1. I have received confirmation on the shard count and demonic state before day 1 formally started.

That leaves 1 mafia with a role that is unaccounted for. I'm also not likely to be the above player because my role instead gave me information of Medea's role and on LLD's role

Ok so as a Human I'm a VT, as a Demon I'm a bodyguard where if I target someone and they would have been killed, I would die in their stead. If I successfully protect someone this way, I become human again, meaning I would be dead AND human. I am told I can't be protected by a protecting role (aka Medea's doctor ability).

There's a specific string of words that I assume I'm allowed to claim as it's the actual name of my role, but want to confirm with the mod that this is allowed and not considered quoting my role PM just to be safe.

I was thinking of claiming this today anyway because we're at a High level of demons now and I had become a demon overnight. So if there's a vig, I could just name who I was targeting and they could shoot that player and kill me/revert me to human in the process. Scum aren't using their nightkill so there's no reason to keep my role a secret anyway. I figured this was also a decent idea because I seem to be a "not Town" read for a lot of players and removing myself as a suspect as well as guaranteeing I am a human upon my death is a win-win.

This requires Town to actually have a vig ability (which hasn't been used yet so idk) and for scum to not have a role that could fuck with either of us. I would suggest any potential vig to lie about their claim during the massclaim BUT it's probs not necessary since we already know 2/3 scum roles and if they do have a role blocker they could just block me and fuck it all up anyway.

Alternatively I could target Dunn tonight and have him confirm I am telling the truth about my role.

The fact that I was demonized overnight confirms to me further that I am the designated mis-lim today, as scum want me demonized before I die. So I am EXTRA side-eyeing the players who furthered that narrative yesterday/immediately today without even...thinking about it? (CephTD, AA9, unwnd)

With the "frame Spiffeh" plan in mind, I can deduce that it is highly unlikely for LLD to be scum.

If she were in on the scum plan to frame me, why not use the shard handout ability to demonize me Night 2 and have her hide behind me Night 3, confirming to the thread that I am a demon and incriminating me even further? Instead, she checks me N3 when I am still human and has confirmed that to be the case, which doesn't completely absolve me but could make people more hesitant in limming me today. Her actions overnight do not mesh with what I believe the scum plan to be and therefore am fairly confident in calling her Town.

Manatee when did you get corrupted? Did you get notified on Night 1 or did you only find out on Night 2 when you were also demonized? This is important.

Ok Manatee confirmed earlier that they were corrupted on Night 2. I assume they also got demonized on Night 2 (since I received two shards and was demonized on Night 3). Assuming this to be true and Manatee is telling the truth, this implies that scum can both corrupt and give shards to the threshold of demonization to the same player in the same night. We know that Manatee was the target of this ability on N2, and Snarky has claimed to be corrupted so they seem to have been the target on Night 3.

This leads to an important question:

Who was corrupted on Night 1?

It seems like something that immensely furthers the scum alternate win condition that they seem to be going for, and since Annie Edison publicly had one shard from the handout on Day 1 and the fact that scum can corrupt AND give shards to the same player in the same night, why wouldn't they use corrupt+give shard to {ANY PLAYER}/give shard to Annie Edison to lock in two demons the first night? We know they didn't do this because Annie Edison claims to have been demonized Night 2.

The fact that no one is claiming to be corrupted Night 1 indicates to me that scum did not have access to this ability on Night 1. Even if it's X-shot there is no reason for them to wait to use this ability because what if the player with this ability was limmed Day 2? Then they wouldn't have been able to make use of it. So there must have been another reason that scum didn't use the corruption ability Night 1.

Probably because they needed to demonize the teammate with this ability in order to use it

. That makes sense because it feels like an OP ability and a mechanics-based delay on this role seems like a good idea for balance purposes. And demonization resolves the next Day so scum wouldn't be able to start corrupting until Night 2 at the earliest.

This is assuming that scum don't have another way to distribute shards/demonize themselves, which I think is a reasonable assumption. Someone check my logic, but

this makes it VERY LIKELY that ArcAngel9 is the Corrupter.

ArcAngel's demonization always felt odd to me outside of this. She got some pressure from Annie Edison on Day 1 but she exited Day 1 being almost universally townread so why bother demonizing her more likely lims for the day like myself or CephTD?
