You are the one who was complaining about there not being any scum kills. My entire plan is "Lets sacrifice 2 townies, and FORCE the scum team to start making kills" Like, I am literally trying to get what you said that this game was missing...

I'm going to tell you my perspective:

1) The team knows what they're doing.
2) Because the team knows what they're doing, they can embed themselves into conversation like this much easier.
3) Reading upon claims and mechanics due to this fact is...foolish.
4) You need to drag them more out in the open and take risks, instead of blindly believing in a plan.
5) This setup seems more like jank role madness the more I "look" at it.
5a) Jank role madness makes mech plans much harder to work because scum have to be distributed some sort of even power or

be given fakeclaims that would make sense.

5b) Usually though, you could eventually just eliminate or force scum to kill into those claims.
5c) This didn't happen however and I see no reason for scum to want to kill. They don't have to prove anything.

I don't have a strong conviction and I'm not gonna pretend I do and dance like a monkey. I'm voting Annie even though I had them as a strong townread on D1 because I have PoEd them down as an option despite their claim.

And I'm not completely disregarding mech in things either. That's what frustrates me. Mech wise? Medea/Dunn make sense confirming another and they only have to be scum together at this rate. Nobody is gonna take the risk to eliminate there. If they are scum? They don't have to do anything. This frustrates me. I dislike that there is nothing to pressure them on that front because I do not feel their position was deserved, rather it was given right by the fact of claim.

I think Dragons being a desharder has to make sense as something that can fight against the altwincon. I am probably wrong about them. If I'm not? Then I was only wrong because I was led to believe mech speculation. That is not how I want to go down yet it seems to be happening.

I can see Cabd looking at my posts and trying to Yomi layer me but I'm well aware.

Mech is part of mafia and I am not a caveman who insists upon not using it. However, with complexity you have to be more careful. The alt wincon also is constantly reminding itself. If the roles had more of a definition and you know, we could prove them more efficiently by night action then I would complain less.

You know, that frustration and lack of conviction in my (or anyone elses) scum team solve is like THE driving force behind my plan, that you seem to be blowing off.

I don't have super strong conviction on 2 scum reads, and a lot of it does feel like I am being forced into poeing a solve. And it feels like there is not a ton of conviction for a solve coming from very many other people either. So quite frankly it is hard to bet the game on one.

But you are claiming to have that same emotion, and then turning around and voting towards betting the entire game on your Annie read that you don't have a strong conviction of... but that is not how I want to play.

What I do have a strong conviction of, is that a mod would not want a game to be such that town would need to figure out the exact scum team (AND EVEN WHICH ONE IS WHICH ROLE) when there have been exactly 2 flips this game. That is a conviction that I feel strongly enough to bet the game on. Right or wrong, that feels like a better bet to go out on then to go out on then to go out on a weak poe team solve that I can't even confidently case.

Like if we lose because there were major flaws in the design, then well, we lose because there were major flaws in the design.

But, I want to believe that this setup is balanced enough that we don't have to have a perfect solve after 2 flips in a 13 player game. So, I am shooting for the plan that can get us more flips before we are making a freaking elo vote.
