Stuff like this just doesn’t add up from Scum. See if this behavior had been only targeted at me while trying to discredit my read, that would be one thing. But it’s more generalized and this is never a particularly successful strategy as Scum because it engenders no sympathy from others if you start getting pushed. Let’s be honest - people are less inclined to want to vote players they like. But actively trying to get people to like you means you’re not doing what Town is supposed to do - probe and find Scum.

I dunno. I feel like being a contrarian isn't the best scum strategy, and Enchant's antics are distracting us from actual scum.

I have been able to correctly town read him when everyone else wanted to eliminate him.

I can't say that I find him townie enough in this game to defend him.

Now, there are some players that do this as Scum. But it typically has to do with the fact that it’s an approximation of how they go about playing Town, so they try and keep the aggressive style going as Scum. I don’t have tremendous experience with Enchant, but I don’t recall this being the style they adopted when I faced them as Scum. They seemed less confrontational. Instead, they tried to look more lost.

gut feeling that scum wouldnt have blundered so badly the entire game. if they are scum, they won't be allowed to live to the end game. they relly don't need to be the focus today

I find it kind of depressing how Andres said he wants more discussion, but almost nothing is happening. That vote count is just sad.

@DGB, do you have any other thoughts other than those two being Town? You said you were gonna do ISOs yesterday, how's that looking?

I'm thinking back to Andres' 1459. I'm going to assume Andres is Town, and I'm going to assume that I'm not wrong on Kazyan being Town. If those two are the case, then I think it points at Ythan being Scum. I'm not sure if it would make sense for there to be an all-Town wagon on Kazyan, with both Scum deciding to pile on a lurker who was much more likely to be a VT. There's going to be natural skepticism towards those on the wagon, and I don't think Alice was a huge threat to the Scumteam. So at least one Scum off their wagon, likely on the counter.

I guess the above is assuming geraintm is Town too, but with a decent amount of other people giving me bad vibes, and knowing there's only town Scum in that game, that might be an okay assumption for now. Or Kazyan's just Scum and I'm being stupid.

I'm also curious where did GrandpaMo's Scumread of Enchant go. Once he saw Titus was dead, he said he thinks Enchant is Scum if Titus isn't, and Today it's been just role talk and not much else. Not saying I'd expect him to blindly vote Enchant and do nothing else, but. It's weird there was no mention of it at all.

k we are on day 2 /3 and you only have 1 scum while literally 3 townreads and null on 5 people with no explanation at all. all you have done is sheep the majority consensus from day 1 till now, and now is calling nathann pausable scum, sheeping that read from andre as well.

im down to vote this. you haven't contributed shit day 1 and now just continue to like you are by posting your reads whom are already thought about by every player.

I'm just reconsidering everything from scratch. I have a sinking feeling I was laboring under wrong assumptions. I took a step back.

My position is still that we tear through {DGB, Ythan, GMo, (a roll of tin foil with which to make a hat), Andre}, basically in that order unless we get some important new info. I didn't expect that DGB's reaction today to be just calling me town and being unbothered by my push, but I need to see DGB saying more than one reasonable thing before it goes down my list. If DGB somehow flips green,

then

we can sort of maybe consider putting Nathann in the PoE bucket.

This interaction makes me confident that GMo should be at the end of that list of three, not the middle. In the current gamestate, scum are kind of boxed-in with the size of the PoE and they really need to

expand

it, not

contract

it, i.e. try to convince us that Nathan is scummy rather than charging into battle with DGB. I guess it wouldn't be 100% awful to bus your partner in this situation, but, like, still 80% awful.
