Oh yes, I hate veto-ing a horrible role in mafia. Read the one with the plethora of night-based post-graveyard shit where the entire game was a clusterfuck of "how would these interact?" as a mod.

I’m considering running a Survivor Legends UPick in the somewhat near future and I kinda wanna hear what people would want from it, would a more traditional mafia experience but with roles based on the player picks be preferred or should I strive for a Mafia-Survivor hybrid? Would a Redemption Island/other return method be wanted? How to integrate “challenges”?

Any interest in 'UPick a Normal'?

players pick a normal legal town and scum power role, and can submit a preference for town, scum and/or vanilla - I create a setup based on those submissions, with some randomising elements to minimise any biases I have and hopefully getting it reviewed by a member of the normal comittee

Jackbox Mafia has been done in marathon queues before. IIRC, how it worked was:
Winner chooses to eliminate someone, and if there was I think seven or eight people, mafia get a NK on top of the winner choosing who to eliminate.
Game just progresses until one side is gone.

Not sure if this was what you wanted, but it would be a good schematic to build off of.

If you kept it as a micro or a mini theme you could probably do one game per each of the major franchise entries for example I'm pretty sure that the summoning salt history of Mario 64 any percent could fill an entire mini theme by itself.

Each player submits a single pick. Each player has their role become a fusion of some elements of their pick and of another players pick.

For some examples of fused roles

Take a fusion of a Doctor and a Vengeful. They could prevent a random night kill the night after their elimination. If they are mafia-aligned it could instead make their teammates ninjas/godfathers the night after elimination (thus ""protecting"" them from investigation)

A fusion of a bus driver and a paranoid gun owner could be an ability to redirect players that visit them into visiting themselves (Like a mirror). This could work for either alignment.

A fusion of a Traffic Analyst and a Viglilante could kill the target only if they are in a PT.

Would anyone be interested in playing Broken Bubble Grand Idea Mafia?

It is a Grand Idea Mafia mutation where players may discuss the game while it is still ongoing. (but still may not discuss other ongoing games of course!)

I have a loose idea. A kind of April Fool's Game Mafia game. Which has power roles, but all of them are useless or not very useful.

Examples of roles:

Town Power Roles: Town Crier (every Night Phase they get to submit a message which will contain up to 100 words but cannot mention any player or role in the game, the message will be posted at the start of the following Day), Drunk Cop (every Night Phase they get a random read, which has a 50% accuracy), Voiceless (their votes do not count in the tally), Drunk Texter (they get to send a message to the host every Night Phase, the meaning of it will be reversed, it will be rephrased and then sent to a random player)

Mafia Power Roles: Mafia Cop (a Cop, but aligned with the Mafia), Self-Vigilante (They can only target themselves)

I might put in one town and one mafia role in the game, which will have one shot-only, and, with a bit of luck might actually help them. Thoughts?
