Also keeping up the fiction that RVS is useful is what makes society work, like believing money and Pokemon cards have value.

But let's work together on this. Do you feel threatened by my vote on you? Instead of entertaining a solid question, I feel like you gave a cheeky response and have thus let someone else take a jab at me. If you really believed I were mafia, why shroud it with doubt and "maybe's"? It does not read as sincere. Is this an unfair assessment?

Do you have independent reasoning to scumread Tucan Sam or are you just sheeting hiraki? The signals are blurry and mixed. In post 53, the worst wrote:join team hiraki now for a free win!"He brings the cool and the muscle" -FakeGod

I'm reading both worst/Taly and Taly/Wis as not S/S. I think Hiraki and Taly are individually towny, although not strongly.
It occurs to me that I forgot to ask STD which method he's using to make deadlines a thing in this game, and I should probably do so."He brings the cool and the muscle" -FakeGod

i do think taly is doing his thing where he thinks things he's saying look more towny + helpful than they are and while it's not suuuper scum indicative for him it's also not town indicative!! where's your weak townread coming from?- Hiraki

what part of this persists of 'working together' furthermore if he's town, why should he care about your vote? isn't his objective to eliminate scum? not to make sure that he doesn't get voted out? this pings me the most because it shows that taly potentially has an incorrect way of thinking OR is thinking correctly but in the wrong roleIn post 54, Taly wrote:Do you feel threatened by my vote on you?

I think this thought process is town because he's looking for scum based on what resembles trying to get an 8 ball elimination and I think that's a town thought to have. I don't think it's right, necessarily, but it is the kind of thought I think is slightly more likely to come from town.In post 33, Taly wrote:I had a very weak thought ofMom-8ball but everybody in the thread posted between my vote on her and my post a few moments ago. i think that post is kinda too peacocky for me to townread it. i was joking about scum!wisdom vs. town!momrangal because wisdom put the vote down then went v/la. that's, like, an extremely one-dimensional thought about wisdom, who is super experienced, and a vote which is realistically pretty hard to parse for AI information 25 posts into the game.
taly's response to this posits that he agrees with the one-dimensional read and then asks why i'm not sheeping imaginality (who is voting wisdom for a separate meme reason). i think that's a post which taly /expects/ to look good. but the fact is he's focused on optical things like looking like he's checking slots' motivations against each other -- while overlooking things like me not voting wisdom, and the fact that my whole take on wisdom/momrangal was pretty goofy -- makes me feel like he isn't actually trying to see inside my mind.- Alisae

Wisdom's 72 is the same thing I'm reading as town from Taly, not the Wisdom scumread.
Taly is looking for the eightball and concluding that Mom isn't it based on the lack of people biting at the wagon, which seems like a thing town is more likely to think about compared to scum. I expect scum to be more worried about what voting for an eightball would look and thus reluctant to vote the eight ball. Extrapolating from that, the thought of "X is likely not the 8 ball because they're not being pushed when there's a modicum of interest" isn't one I think is as likely from scum who would I think will be more self conscious about what pushing the eightball looks like.
I'm not sure how likely scum actually is to be pushing the eightball directly, but the thought that someone is specifically not the eightball based on no one pushing them seems like a slightly town thought process.
I'll consider the peacocking angle though."He brings the cool and the muscle" -FakeGod

I disagree, I think it's NAI. It's indicative of a more surface level attitude rather than a wifomy mindset. I don't see why it's more likely to come from town than scum though. In post 73, Bingle wrote: I'm not sure how likely scum actually is to be pushing the eightball directly, but the thought that someone is specifically not the eightball based on no one pushing them seems like a slightly town thought process.
If anything slightly suspicious just because expecting scum to pile on to the 8-ball wagon straight away is a bit implausible, so it seems like a weak reason to conclude Mom isn't the 8-ball. To that extent it doesn't feel like a super genuine line of reasoning. Though it is still early game so could just be that transition from RVS to sketchy-reasoning-VS. - imaginality
