i am not speculating as to why pooky was killed as much as people's perceptions of it;
like do you not think pooky was more or less confirmed by the mech spec? even if you already thought was town?
and like gamma is saying that he believes the mafia knew in advance of the kingmaker, so would have to assume that scum!pooky with knowledge of this would not have posted it like that right?
In post 1841, Taly wrote:2. Pooky was the first townie (assuming he is) to accurately predict the kingmakwe utility and the scum hated that.
so you also did not think, OH! pooky!town when reading the second event??
I think he is very likely town. But I'll let the flip say.
It would definitely be a bizarre gambit for scum to kill their own, but not impossible; theoretically.
That would be short term gain for long term loss IMO.
Same. Which is why I'll just assume
Pooky
is town until otherwise.

actually i'm going to hipfire a reads list from memory having done almost no review
people who are towny:
taly
gypyx
infinity 324
skitter30
towny but not as confidently:
ulyana
gamma emerald
not sure, need to look at more closely:
saber
sircakez
dwlee99
people who are not towny/poe-ish:
ydrasse
toogeloo
galron
dunnstral
the bottom group don't translate to explicit scumreads in all cases but the bar is such that i am perfectly content with getting rid of people who aren't helping their own causes. gamma's logic about toog not caring about d1 being suspect when the twist was revealed is my thinking exactly, the paranoid thought i had day 1 was that his apathy toward the phase was a result of being informed that the vote was not directly an execution vote
Its friday and i dont have a lot of time but put me in as a vote-in-spirit for spare. Gamma's thought process in the interim was p damn townie
Also i just want to say that i dont even have words to begin to describe how pissed i was when i saw the pooky kill
Also i think learning what the chair was actually for has a lot of implications for what scum were actually thinking and trying to accomplish for most of day1, assuming that they knew from the start what the chair actually did. There's a few interactions i want to review in light of that

Why the assumption that pooky was an intended target? This doesn't bode well for me, but what if they just didn't want me killed bc they knew I'm limbait and "another player will be executed" type thing happened?

possible but i think it's more likely that scum controlled the whole sabotage

almost not worth dignifying this with a response but given who the kill hit i did not assume it was random. (i forgot that potential randomness was even an aspect of the setup until this post). scum would have significantly less incentive to sabotage onto a random target because it could potentially hit a player in the POE (i mean, unless they really wanted to save their teammate...)

If you can't find the questions sitting out there, I don't know what to tell you. There are so many unknowns I'm questioning everything.
I can't tell if you're genuinely trying to make me critically think or reinforce my own uncertainties about the game.
Your posts aren't adding substance or a new perspective to what we already know, which I scumread.

I think it COULD HAVE BEEN random. Not that it was. I have no information one way or another.

Really don't understand this. We have two events, three I guess, where town had no idea what the outcome would be. And you're accusing me of engraining doubt into your process. If it's redundant for you, fine. Scum read me. But as far as I'm concerned it's kind of wide open as to what happened, and in my search for understanding, your impugning my thoughts is a significant distraction because I town read you, and I think you're pretty swift. If I have to convince the most town read player that the events could have a number of motivations/rules behind them, I don't know what to say.
I think the biggest issue with your actions rn is they’re textbook scum play. Scum deal in possibility, town deal in probability. You’re throwing out theories that don’t really hold water imo, and for what?

For all I know the direction could have been "If you sabatoge this event you are guaranteed that a town player will be executed." Or a town PR will be executed. Or a random player will be executed.
The questions are when did scum have to make a decision and what options were they given. Why would they sabotage an event when a guaranteed townie was going to get the axe? There had to have been some determining factor. Would they take the shot at limming someone else, including one of their own (which would be a 3/15 chance) when they knew I was an easy launch target?
