It's a dead ability, and couldn't have come from real-titus as per game state of you and I crossed with gif now confirmed town. Therefore, it came from dead scum.

Because I can’t fathom to think that the role that is supposed to help dead town is scum.
The roles so far have flipped with clear alignment-serving goal.
Yes your role has this “you kill for scum” but it does have a drawback and ultimately a way to help town by gaining a day vig.
Manatee’s role has “if you don’t pick town dies” but ultimately it does give town double lim.

Gamma’s role also gives double day but it can also give scum a governor if guessed correctly.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that the negative roles still had catch to help their alignment.

I think Cabd’s battleship talk is most likely real. He did look for Shiro D1 so he wasn’t most likely lying about his informed part.
