Newbie 2082 - Game Over

We have about a day and a half left which isn't a ton of course but it's not nothing.

I want to hear especially what MafMen and StrangeMatter have to say on the recent happenings (because everyone else I feel like I can at least roughly predict what they're going to say in response to this)

while I agree with the sentiment of "lost all appetite" i just don't know if that's the right attitude to have here.

I am almost near certain Val is town now ._.

And, I don't know, maybe the damage is done but I have to try, I don't want this to be a game where I screwed things up with a bad tunnel

Again, I hate repeating myself but this entire conversation feels like Val89 is talking exactly out of how he plays this game. It's absolutely frustrating to talk with and it just feels like they latch onto almost anything. That speaking I don't like the fact he decided to self vote, it's just...a completely bad play as town, and I don't get what they're even trying at this point, which is frustrating.

for mafia the game gets a lot harder if they die here, because of PRs and the amount of people that would be cleared on a flip. town can still conceivably win no matter what if they get eliminated

the meta read is a little too surface level to be convincing, i believe his self vote nonsense to be a bluff, and his igor tunnel is wolfy and their unvote in 764 doesnt do much good for how i view it either
i suppose the other stuff you mentioned is townie but the bad just outweighs the good here

I understand this is very hard. This is what I have had do myself. To stop acting like it is outrageous that someone could ever be scumreading me here and try instead to put myself in your shoes, and consider if you really believe all the stuff you're saying.



I understand if you hate me. That is your right and it is okay. I've been pretty harsh this game.

But if you are making the assumption that no townie could ever be as mean as I have been to you, and that the only explanation is that it must be an act from scum, that is an unfortunately incorrect assumption. I think on the whole town tends to be signifixcantly more abrasive than scum, with the exception of maybe a few rare players.


And if your thinking is "screw this guy, I don't care if he's town he deserves to die regardless for how awful he's been", that is understandable but it's not really a good mindset, and I am going to ask you, if not for me, at east for the sake of the other town players here, to reconsider

Honestly just haven't been able to work up the motivation to read the large amount of text that i feel like I need to in order to properly read frogs at this point.

Val, I think I'm willing to vote for now.

(Also igor I appreciate that you're working with people in this way given how you were playing very opaquely earlier)

I imagine MafMen/Greeting may also be willing to compromise there.

734 makes me think back and wonder if Val has changed his mind about a major stance this entire game. It feels like he just said early on "i'm gonna townread implo and frogs" and is just never going to re-evaluate any reads. I feel like this game is really hard and his arc just doesn't lend credence to him thinking critically about people's alignments at this point.

i still much prefer my greeting vote as im much more confident in that read than my read on val, but if my stubbornness results in a nolim here then i guess i can switch wagons

The immensely frustrating thing about this game is I feel like the majority of players on this site would be able to recognize something like that but I'm having to explain myself here and still get blank stares
