The subsequent slowposting also I think is more likely from scum trying to figure out how to look authentic (as well as decide on what readslist is strategically best) than town trying to consolidate their final thoughts

the problem with this is that it was such a bad reaction test, coupled with the fact we've already had a dayvig, so i can see ircher not bothering to give reads quickly because lol

With regards to my scumgame, your best guess??? is probably looking at this game but that's a scumgame from 6 months ago where I particularly disagreed with someone else in the scumteam about the direction of play and a lot has happened since then

I think I am currently at a point at which I could expand beyond established meta the next time I roll scum. I think future me would appreciate it if I didn't explain how that might occur

So finally getting through the last 25+ pages or so, I think one of the following is likely true:

A) Ircher is town with an extremely good read on town!Victorine.
B) Ircher is scum with a tmi town read on her.
C) Ircher is traitor who is willing to die for his non-traitor buddy.

Ircher’s Taly read is whack. Yes it’s true, Cheeky and myself have been spending alot of time debating Taly’s alignment. For me particularly, I didn’t understand why Taly has so many posts talking about himself specifically but I now have come to the conclusion that it’s more likely than not role related.

I agree with jjh that it really makes 0 sense for Taly scum or scum in general to do complete read reversals like that, because what exactly does scum!Taly have to gain by doing this? Especially his Gamma read for example. Why does scum!Taly acheive by almost running Gamma up only to townblock him? Unless someone has a valid reason to think they’re buddies or something and I really don’t see that all. I also think Deimos is really town as well, so I think B or C is more likely than A for Ircher.

Whomever said that he might possibly be trying to get Victorine limled over him could also possibly mean that I have the roles reversed if C but B could equally be as likely if he’s scum. The fact is that Ircher town very effectively reversed his lim by being okay with dying in Yin/Yang so he could possibly be replicating that as scum? Idk know anymore but can’t confidently rule out A) either. Outside chance as well of town!Ircher possibly being wrong on scum!Victorine but I like that possibility the least followed by A.

I think the only reason as town that you should ever be willing to sacrifice yourself for another player is A) your role is negative utility B) you’re vt and they’re tpr C) you think they will be more effective in endgame. Ircher has not given us any indication so far of A. B is unknown but extremely unlikely in an RC uPick and C clearly makes 0 sense, so that makes me lean towards Ircher more likely than not being scum, irrespective of whatever V flips.
